I'm gonna assume you're German based on your username. When Robert Steinhäuser shot like 15 people Erfurt, it was called an Amoklauf. Further, good ole dict.cc translates that as shooting spree, killing rampage, and spree killing.

As an aside, since the Amis have (at least recently) the market cornered on mass shootings, I suppose I should point out that the FBI does not have a standard definition for the term. OP, can you cite a place where they do use it? Usually they will not use ambiguous terms in official reports because of the politics involved.

Doesn't matter for me if dead of injured.
