Ingress gives us great opportunities to try something new. It takes us to new adventure. Sometimes Ingress is an extreme sport.

Today one of my best Ingress friend took me to Kengamine Peak Portal. It is the highest peak of Mt. Daisen. Kengamine Peak is 1,729m high. It doesn’t sound very extreme, but it takes 3 hours to get there, besides you have to hike 1 foot width sheer rocky ridge. 
I am a beginner climber (hiker) and my friend is an expert. I never be able to make it without him.
No, it is not safe place for beginners. Actually, the portal is a cenotaph to those victim climbers. 
Mt. Daisen has two popular trails. Natsuyama trial is for beginner, which has about 20 Ingress portals. The other is Utopia trail, for intermediate, which has no Ingress portals yet.
The traversal from Natsuyama-trail to Kengamine is off-limit, but there is another trail which we took today. And we have to take full responsibility for our action there.

According to local police department, about ten accidents reported every year, from light injury to death. Even in Natsuyama trail that is supposed to be for beginner has accidents. Mt. Daises itself is such a danger mountain, but which mountain in the world is NOT “dangerous”?

This morning, I wore my mountain boots, packed rain-wear, layers of extra clothes, candies and enough water. 
I gave a big hug to my family when I left home.

We were very lucky, the weather is fine, sunny no wind. Trees are full of autumn colors, beautiful gradation of red and yellow. We met other climbers there even though it was a weekday. Everyone we see on the mountain is nice. We shared the beautiful moments, had nice chat, whether we play Ingress or not.
We all love the mountains.

Now I am here writing a report in front of my computer in my cozy house.
I am an extremely happy Ingress player.

イングレスを始めてからいろんな冒険をしました。イングレスをしなければいけなかった場所ありますよね。
今日は、鳥取県にある大山の剣ヶ峰へ連れて行ってもらいました。標高1729mというとさほどでもありませんが、幅30cmほどの切り立った尾根を渡っていかねばなりません。初心者が行くところではありません。私は初心者ですが、連れて行ってくれたエージェントはプロで、彼なしには私は剣ヶ峰へはとても行けません。
大山には２つの登山道があります。「夏山登山道」は小学生でも登れ、ポータルもたくさんあります。もう一つは「ユートピア登山道」で中級者向けです。こちらはまだポータルはありません。「夏山登山道」の頂上の弥山から剣ヶ峰への従走路は立ち入り禁止になっています。今日我々が登ったのは別のルートです。登山者だけが知っている自己責任ルートです。

鳥取県警のサイトを見ると、毎年大山では遭難者が出ています。初心者向けとされる「夏山登山道」でさえ実は危険なのです。しかし、いったい世界中でどの山が「危険でない」と言えるのでしょうか？

今朝、雨具や防寒用の服、チョコレート、十分な飲料水をパックし、登山靴を履いて。出がけに家族をぎゅっと抱きしめて。

今日は本当にラッキーだった。天気は晴。風もなし。紅葉も素晴らしく綺麗だった。剣ヶ峰は平日にもかかわらず、他の登山者達も来ていた。山で会う人は皆いい人たちばかり。山で最高の瞬間を分かち合い、楽しいおしゃべりをする。皆、山が好きなのだ。

無事に下山し、居心地の良い部屋でコンピュータに向かって今日の楽しかったイングレスをこうしてレポートできるのもまた、幸せなことだ。
