They provide their perspective of how women work and their rationale behind it, and based on that they explain to men how to achieve the results they want from the women in their life. It looks like their most basic recommendations are: get in shape and muscular, make small talk with lots of people to build confidence if you're an introvert, stand your ground on disagreements in general, if you give an inch your girlfriend will take a mile, and don't do legal marriage.

They do seem to go into much more detail on those things in very blunt language but I think that's an okay summary of them.

It's pathetic and disgusting. It's what happens when a person gets hurt and loses hope. It's what happens when someone gives up on love. It's a place that thinks love is a lie and women are evil. It doesn't take a genius to realize that most of these people aren't mentally healthy and probably have never seen a healthy relationship. It's not their fault that the were hurt but it is their fault that they become what boils down to a sociopath with a life of emotional distance.

In short, they're men who were pathetic and were hurt by a woman and chose to stay that way by blaming women instead of themselves for being "Betas" and pathetic. It's really a tragic place for those on the outside looking in.

It's 50% brilliant, insightful self-improvement and actualization and 50% misogynistic pickup-artist bullshit that would only work on the dumbest/weakest of girls, and very few actual women. And it's sometimes difficult to tell which is which.

That said, I sent a female coworker there who was in a bad marriage with a whiny shithead and just told her to look at the personal stuff and ignore the misogyny.

Her divorce is going well and so is her personal life. She, being a self-described "typical woman" switched her TRP goal from sex to emotional/fun/romance/flirting type stuff that she's more into and she's really getting over things well and starting to have fun.

EDIT: And apparently fuck her for being happy and getting more of what she wants in life and fuck me for helping and not being judgmental about it.

The reason TRP worked for her is because TRPs biggest mistake is it thinks competence/strength is gender-specific. If you take away the gender roles you have a pretty good (if not kind of Machiavellian) way for people to to become stronger and better at dealing with people that subtly mistreat or manipulate them.

In my friend's case, she was a classic "beta" that found herself doing literally everything (working, raising kids, etc.) while her manipulative weak husband who is on disability was cheating on her.

TRP helped her use "frame" as a way to figure out why she was so unhappy, what her ex was doing to her, set goals on what it was that she wanted in life, and how to get her own "weight up" to stop being used and mistreated.

I wouldn't go that far…. TRP I think has accidentally produced some quality self-improvement work, but it's VERY gender specific, and implies that one is weaker, more manipulative, less trustworthy than the other.
