Maybe because he's fourteen years old, a minority, and is getting stuff that Redditors feel entitled to?

If you've paid any (and I do mean any) attention to all of the posts that have been made after he started receiving cool stuff, you'd see quite easily how entitled so many of these people are.

And they even try to say that he didn't go through anything. That he wasn't illegally detained due to racial profiling. That it was all of his father's doing because he's a politician. Or that it was all because of a zero tolerance policy (which somehow justifies illegally detaining a minor).

These are just some of many stupid arguments that have been used to attempt to belittle a fourteen year old minority because he got gifts for being subjugated to prejudice.

TL; DR: It isn't what he did that is what people are jealous of, it's what he got in return for being put through that shit.
