Yeah, my brother used to make his own talk show using a tape recorder. It was called Sixty Thousand Hours (like 60 minutes, but many orders of magnitude better). I'm still amazed at all the major celebrities he managed to get on the show.

Next time you have the opportunity to observe some parents with their children, watch how the youngest will pose for the camera. You can get the most unruly toddler to stay still for the duration of a picture because they have been trained to do it their entire life.

Simple answer to your question. The camera is there because these children are going to post the video on the internet.
