I dont know if this has anything to do with these crystals but in the Contest Of champions comic there is 2 crystals with have the same model as normal crystals but are colored differently. The crystals are light blue and purple(NOt like alliance)

The Guillotine crystal is a red skull, maybe an easter egg for an upcoming character? RED SKULL!!!

Guillotine has some sort of "skull" mechanic, as seen here. If anyone knows more about it that'd be awesome, but afaik the skull on the crystal is the same reference as it is in game.

The skull had something to do with her blade (it is on her blade for one). If her opponent is bleeding it shows up, and during the blood and venom missions she says something about her blade thirsting for blood (or something).

Red Skull has been in the game files for almost a year now.. but Kabam still doesn't want to release him..
