Don't worry bro, you aren't alone; the new Battlefront is just Battlefield with a Star Wars skin over it. I remember when the ships and other vehicles were physically present in the world and you had to fucking enter them in a hangar.

People were fucking right months ago when they were saying this Battlefront was dumbed down, but the current circlejerk won't hear any of it. Bring on the downvotes, bitches - the new Battlefront sucks dick and your tears sustain me.

New Battlefront seems nice but its just not the Battlefront we all played and loved. Makes me a little sad in a nostalgic way but the new Battlefront is still a solid game that I enjoy playing.

I played the demo and don't like it. I never played the other battlefronts but have played battlefield 3 and 4 religiously. But how exactly is it battlefield with a reskin? It feels absolutely nothing like battlefield.

Most of the comparisons to Battlefield are coming from Battlefront fans assuming that Battlefield must play like this, because otherwise where did all these changes come from?

Battlefront II is an awesome game that you should consider looking into, by the way. If you want a Star Wars reskin of a good Battlefield game, that's the one you want.

I hate this opinion. Back when we had no gameplay, people like you told us not to give our opinions til' we had seen gameplay. So we got a trailer; but then you guys told us to wait for the alpha before making an opinion. So along comes the alpha. But you tell us to wait for the Beta. So we wait for the Beta. And now you are saying we can't have an opinion until we buy the game ourselves?

There is literally only two multiplayer game modes, a fraction of unlockables, five ranks, one offline mode type, and no appearance editing in the beta. There is so much more to see in the full game that we have no access to so we really can not assess the game quality at full yet. Only at it's basic level.

The beta can tell you what the game is in simplest terms but really it's just there as a promotional event.

The mechanics themselves are bad.

I mean the game looks fucking amazing. It sounds fucking amazing. It's Star Wars all over.

Now take away the Star Wars looks and sounds and you're left with a mediocre FPS with poor and uninspiring game mechanics. If this wasn't Star Wars it would bomb faster than Titanfall. But because it is Star Wars and one of the only Star Wars games we've had in a long time it'll sell and be popular. But it could have been something amazing, it could have set a standard for FPS like CoD4 did or Goldeneye/Doom before it. Instead they are having to rush the game to get it out for the film deadline.

Galactic Conquest and massive AI battles are the fundament of Star Wars Battlefront. This game looks very pretty, but it is so ridiculously different that it hardly fits in the series
