Edit: Please note that I did not include the drop information for 20 Moldering Shards from Oryx. 20 Moldering Shards can drop loot from anywhere in the raid when you kill Oryx (including more Moldering Shards >.>)

My first run throughs of raids are usually my luckiest. Got the ghost shell my first run up until WarPriest, then got the shotgun, chest, and mark on the first run through up until Oryx. After that, nothing.

Thanks for adding your version. I just did the raid for the first time last night and got nothing...but mouldering shards. I had no idea you could get those items throughout. I assumed you only got 1 weapon for beating Oryx...what's up w/ their wacky loot table? I even had 3 of coins turned on for each boss.

This. Last raid I had 25 moldering shards at Oryx, had a 3oC on as well. We beat him and literally every single one of us only got 2 moldering shards. Not any weapons, armor or wormspore. We were dumbfounded. How is that even a thing? Since shards only activate at Oryx, 2 shards should not be in his loot table. The way I look at it, we beat the raid and Bungie's reward to us was to take 18 moldering shards...Bungo plz.

That said, the previous raid I dropped 3 of the primary weapons, gauntlets, and the rocket launcher. I guess this raid was to even it out for me.

Last two times I did Oryx, all I got was the 305 hand cannon. One of the two times it used up my 20x moldering shards and gave me two of the same 305 hand cannon.

Since my first clear of King's Fall if anything drops aside from shards it is exact same drops as before, but with lower stats.

    We need a good raid fusion rifle for once. I mean, Praetorian Foil was alright back in the day when shotguns weren't as awesome and Fusion Rifles were a bit stronger, but I've yet to get a raid fusion rifle that was as awesome as my Thesan FR4 is now.

    Agreed, but to be fair, the Thesan is probably the best fusion rifle the game has ever seen (assuming normalized performance pre-fusion nerf). It's fucking amazing.

    Fairly certain that 17 should be 15. That being said, I've done it three times every week and still have no pulse. It's arguably the best raid weapon, so that's not too unlucky.

    Someone in my team got the pulse with firefly. We didn't know it could roll that way. After we finished, everyone in our team except him went to the tower. He power leveled it and went o go shoot stuff. All the sudden we hear him cackling an evil cackle and said "hahaha pulse rifles with firefly are so stupid awesome!"

    Yea the first run through got me two weapons (pulse rifle, shotgun) and the chest armor along with some shards. So it's not a sure thing all you'll ever get is shards :P

    Shotgun is actually really fun to use despite the fact that shotguns are meh in PvE right now.

    It handles really well, and with cocoon it makes a great hold-out weapon for any 'oh shit I didn't see that Taken Minotaur/captain/knight' moments. I run mine all the time unless I'm raiding or doing PvP.

      As per Luke Smith, "smart loot" is 1. only used for Legacy Engrams, 2. not really a thing.

      He claims he never used the term smart loot, and that while it has been said time and time again there is no such system like that in place.

      From the Crota's End days, there was a alleged "fun loot" system, where the game would check if it's been a while since you got a "fun" drop (i.e., not shards or energies), but who knows where / how that system works/ed.

        Your table seems to be missing some things, for example the very first chest can apparently drop the raid ghost. Gothalion got it on the stream the very first time they went through the raid.

        Only one person responding to my thread mentionned getting a class item from oryx without mouldering shards. Are you certain this is possible from personal experience?

        When I get a chance, I'll compare your loot table more closely with mine. In any case, thanks for putting the visual table together.

          It would probably be a waste if I pop it between the Lighteater Ogres and the Shade of Oryx anyway. The 3oC nerf kind of saw to that :(

          I used a 3oC prior to beginning the oryx fight. Nothing was dropping from those ogres during the fight. The Shadow of Oryx did drop an exotic for me when we got sent into the big bubble. I didn't check to see if it was still active just prior to defeating oryx himself. I ended up getting 3 primaries drop on that oryx kill.

          Sniper isn't that great anyways. I got a 1k stare with a good roll that is so much better.

          I have all the weapons and from my personal preference the only ones worth keeping is the pulse rifle and LMG, and rockets if you're lucky enough to get tracking.

          You probably got boots from the "extra loot" from cashing in 20 shards. If you got 2 shards and boots, then your 2 shards were from Oryx and the boots were from the 20 shard cash-in.

          Oryx is very persnickety when trying to get accurate drops because of the Moldering Shards.

          Correction: 20 moldering shards give you a chance at double loot only at oryx. They do not drop loot for you anywhere else in the raid.

          i've received raid boots from oryx but it was because of the extra roll chance from 20 shards... if you have 20 shards then it will roll for a chance at any item thats dropped during the raid

          This image is wrong all over. You can't get the kingslayer shell or midha's reckoning from warpriest, you can't get any weapons from golgoroth, you can't get midha's reckoning from daughters, and you can't get the shell or class item from oryx. Your clanmates are confused and mistaken, and haven't been looking at their inventory closely enough.

          You also can't get the shell from any chest as others have been saying. The only place it can drop is the warpriest's trial.

          I don't think this is 100% accurate, from my experience these are the drops:

          Warpriest Trial: Ghost Shell, Fusion Rifle, Moldering Shards

          Warpriest: Sniper Rifle, Machine Gun, Rocket Launcher, Moldering Shards

          Golgoroth: Boots, Gloves, Chest, Moldering Shards

          Daughters: Class item, Shotgun, Moldering Shards

          Oryx: Primary, Helmet, Molderings Shards (Note this does not include having 20 moldering shards, which can give you a drop from anywhere in raid.)

          Edit- I also did not include runes or other small stuff, just the main drops.

          I think you can get armor drops from some of the other earlier bosses, not just Golgoroth.

          The number for the maximum amount of wormspore is as far as I know 8, I have received 8 and so have several of my fireteam, it might actually be higher but the highest I've seen drop is 8

          Well I have been jipped nearly every King's Fall Raid I have done. Last two raids I have gotten Shards and runes and a few blues. No King's Shell (but everyone in the group got one (one person got 2), no raid weapons nor armor and on Oryx it took my 20 shards and gave me 2 shards, nothing else.

          Nothing in my postal nor inventory. So RNGesus has really hosed me my last two raids.

          Just be patient. You'll get one eventually. In the future, you'll have everything and will just use the items to infuse other gear. I finally got my ghost on my 3rd raid clearing.

          I just read an article on it the "fuzzing" algorithm is actually to stop/mitigate the bots people use.

          The thing is the fuzzing thing doesnt slam a post into oblivion, it just changes the stats when you reload it or something. This sub has a major DV problem.

          Do you have sources for all of this? I have completed almost 10 raids and some of the loot you list has never shown in my raids. I am wondering if the list in inaccurate or if my team just has bad luck?

          Examples: kingslayer shell does not drop from warpriest, only the previous encounter.

          Warpriest only drops heavies, not specials.

          Golgoroth only drops armor, no weapons.

          Etc. can other readers tell me they have gotten these drops at these points?
