It'll stay there for 200 odd years and will even survive a nuclear apocalypse.

I didn't actually know it was a 14 year old til I saw your comment, as I also read 4 year old and wondered why everyone's believing this

This is dope. It looks like it could be from a live-action thing.

Here ya go.

This is definitely a tongue in cheek series but damn does it have some awesome dialogue.

I'm glad to see the younger generation embracing the wonder that is Fallout.

not concept art, but cool nonetheless

fan art would probably be the most accurate term, but it is conceptual art representing the game, so I'm not too bothered by this.

[–]GuyAboveIsStupidMr. House 29

concept art

I mean the definition is

art in which the idea presented by the artist is considered more important than the finished product, if there is one

So it can literally be anything

Well, there really is no "idea" here that is being presented to someone. So no I don't think it's technically concept art.

[–]Jae-SunG.O.A.T. Whisperer 4

This is really cool. By the way, I'm going through the whole "Turning Mexican Coke bottles into Nuka-Cola bottles" process right now and if you're looking for a way to take the painted-on Coke label off, if you have some kind of either dremel or bench grinder with a steel wire wheel, it'll take that ceramic paint label right off of the bottle without scratching the glass. Just go in smaller bursts so you don't get it super hot. Either that or get some undiluted CLR and soak it, then go at it with a stainless steel scrubbing pad.

Air craft paint remover. Available at any auto store. I have stripped 30 year old paint of bikes with it.

Really cool, improve it ever more so by making the background pic boston-like.

Too bad he isn't old enough to play it

Who cares, does reddit actually have an issue with that? Everyone on reddit takes maturity way too seriously. Fallout became my favourite franchise ever when I was 14, I found the world so interesting and unique.

And certain M rated games are more M-rated than others. I would talk to parents about it a lot when I worked at GameStop, because we would always warn parents when they were buying an M-rated game for their kid. I wouldn't want a 14-year-old to play Saints Row or L.A. Noire, probably, but I could get behind Fallout, especially since it's a single-player game and they won't be irritating adults online.

Aa part of your job I understand but 99% of us played GTAs and DOOMs and you dont see us go on rampage...at 14 years old youre mature enough to play all kind of video games ffs

I played plenty of mature video games when I was 14, hell I started watching the Walking Dead back then. The 18+ rating is outdated and not relevant, considering the influx of kids playing all kinds of video games.

Also nowadays kids just need a giftcard for steam, psn, or xbox live to get any game they want without getting ID'd so its not really effective anyways

But... The Walking Dead is for 14 year olds

I played Saints Row 2 at that age. It doesn't matter.

I got into fallout at about age 9, I haven't really heard anyone get mad over the violence in it. What would they think, I'm gonna run around with a fat man and nuke a couple houses?

You realise those rating aren't laws, right?

[–]shrekinatorI'll show you a real tunnel snake...

Who cares, I started playing Fallout at 12.

More like depends on where he lives.

You're telling me people can buy Fallout 4 at 15/16 in different countries?

People under 17 can't by m rated games where I'm from (us)

[–]PresBearIm only addicted to 4 drugs 2

I guess that the local GameStop employes don't get paid enough care, cause I see a lot of kids buying M games by themselves.

[–]MasteurG.O.A.T. Whisperer 5

I remember when I turned 17, I walked into Gamespot all smug, buying an M rated game. They didn't ID me :(

I did that in a liquor store when I turned 21. Was regretting not trying it sooner.

Yes they can, they just can't buy them by themselves. (also from U.S.)

Well yeah that's what I meant.

[–]SchrukNCR Spy 2

I'm from Australia, and Fallout 4 is MA 15+

really? i'd be playing GTA 4 at 10-11 and im still fine, what's wrong with a 14 year old playing fallout?

Depends on the material at hand. 14 is plenty old enough to consume adult content. Most 14 year old boys will at least be exposed to porn. I watched "Lock Stock & Two Smoking Barrels" when I was about 14. I was exposed to South Park when I was 12, though admittedly it wasn't quite as extreme as it is now, it was more silly. Played Wolfentstien 3d and Doom when I was even younger though I didn't really see the appeal of it and would rather play Transport Tycoon or Decent.

Kids are far stronger than people give them credit for and sooner or later they will be exposed to mature content. I would argue that keeping a too tight leash on them is far more likely to backfire than simply letting them play an RPG with some blood and drugs and swearing.

He isn't the suggested age to play, that's all

[–]The_GothamG.O.A.T.

I was 12 or 13 when Fallout 3 came out and I got it that year. It completely changed the way I percieved video games. It was enlightening and Fallout has been my facorite franchise ever since. I forgot how young I was when it came out wow. So I don't see an issue here. The rating system is more to inform the parents and decide weirher or not they feel it is appropriate. So if they feel it is okay then theres no issue.

[–]WildTurkey81Yao Guai whisperer -1

Lol are you having a laugh? 11 year old me played the shit out of GTA 3.

Yeah, that's what I thought, too. Everyone can make it's own decisions, sure. A weeks ago I saw a kid (around 10) with a GTA V-Shirt. Damn, that game is about killing, stealing and even torture.
