(Official Thread) Scammers to look out for!

In cases of defamation like "this person is a scammer" but has no proof. I think anyone who lists people on here needs to have screenshot evidence to back it up to prove who is a scammer.

Well I guess OkitoSaya's name could be the first on this thread. I have the proof and she just successfully scammed another person.

First, there is my case.

Then there's this:







Nemissa got scammed by OkitoSaya. We need more people to be aware.

If the en players start robbing jp players this is a real problem.

EDIT:
She also has the nerve to deny this and threatens to report people back who are telling her to stop.
This is getting ridiculous.

CASE: Hinatsu

Here is some proof as screenshots and such that Hinatsu is actually the player also known as OkitoSaya.
I will be cropping the screenshots to make them smaller and to focus on the essentials.

1. Couple days ago, a new player Hinatsu PM's Arin out of nowhere to ask if they could sell their Devil Doctor set.



It is odd that a new player would PM in english another player with kanji in their name, no? It is usually assumed that a player with a japanese characters in their name is either japanese or speaks japanese.
- Hinatsu knew before hand that Arin could speak english very well.
- OkitoSaya knew Arin could speak english. She and Arin had done some runs earlier.

Also notice the way Hinatsu speaks. Accent with z's thrown in and such.
I have a hard time to believe anyone would type like that normally.
- Could be a diversion, to throw off Arin's suspicions. Afterall Arin knew the way how OkitoSaya speaks.



2. Yesterday, Hinatsu is looking for nemissa in the forum's Shoutbox.



I wonder why for is this new player looking for nemissa? Or how does she know her?
- OkitoSaya had just earlier scammed nemissa.



3. Yesterday, Hinatsu is spotted in Shinjuku Babel, wearing full un-taroted and un-sied Vermilion Fox set.



I'm too slow to screenshot her. Also some talk with Rizu.
- Rizu had done some runs with Hinatsu just earlier, and took a note on his/her/their way of speaking as well. More z' thrown in.
- Rizu had taken an action on OkitoSaya earlier so he knew beforehand the way of OkitoSaya's normal speaking. This might've been another diversion to throw off Rizu's suspicions.



4. Yesterday, Arin is fast enough to screenshot the Vermilion Fox that Hinatsu is wearing.



A newbie player wearing nothing else than Vermilion Fox? Highly suspicious.



5. Yesterday, I come out straight and ask Hinatsu where did she get that VF set from.



She claims that a best friend gave it to her 3 weeks ago. Really?? I would so love to believe that. But I have a very hard time believing anyone would just give them a full VF out of nowhere just like that.
I play along with her story, as if I'm believeing everything she says.

- ALSO NOTE: Her way of speaking has changed. No more that odd accent. Too lazy to keep up with their new role?
- She plays all friendly and all that again. I get a familiar feeling...like the same with OkitoSaya.
- She adds me to her friends, again. Looks like this scammer thinks of as: "Person in friends-list - This person's trust"
- OkitoSaya's stragedy was to play nice and all with everyone, trying to get close to them. And then add the possible victims as their friends.



6. Yesterday, some time later Rizu confronts Hinatsu.

I do not have screenshot of that conversation but it's clear that Hinatsu is the same person as OkitoSaya. Hinatsu threatened to Rizu that her japanese friend had reported him.
EDIT: Rizu has the screenshot of the scammer threatenign him with ban under my post.

Soon after that, things get ugly in the Babel Community Zone. The person logs in as OkitoSaya.



There was even more to that, but it's so ridiculous i'm not even putting it up here. Looks like this OkitoSaya/Hinatsu got mad that she cant hide even behind a new alt.


7. Also proof from other sources that Hinatsu is OkitoSaya

In the meantime, I ask everyone to be very careful.


This person is making new alts, in the hope that they would go on as before.

Also, looks like they're lurking here in the forums, maybe keeping an eye on updates in their situation. So be it.

Be aware of newbie/lowbie players with nothing else with them than Vermilion Fox. That might be my set.
Also, nemissa had a Seth Wing and some sword stolen from her. (Not 100% about this. I actually need more information so I can keep my eyes open.)


As a precaution, do not offer a new player with nothing else than clean Vermilion Fox any of these services:

- Soul Infusion
- Synth
- Trade/sell/buy


Also, I ask everyone to be careful overall around new players. If they ask for VA, or just to try on some set, DON'T. Do not trust and fall in, like I did.

This sounds harsh, but I want everyone to be safe. I will not rest until this person is permanently IP banned and the game is safer for everyone!

Also, here is another extra log about Ｈｉｎａｔｓｕ threatening to report me.


The chat above, which is filled with an agony from the scammer itself wouldn't have happened if I didn't corner him at first in the previous conversation we had which will be posted on the screenshot below.
After I have been very convinced from the evidence that Tinka has clarified, I became moved to confront this scammer once again.

As you see, the first screenshot was the result of her anger after I managed to actually pinpoint her once again. You might think, if he's after all innocent he would have blatantly and ferociously thrown off my sharp confrontation. But nope, he kept playing his innocent act like what he did in my very first encounter.

Anyway, stay safe everyone. Keep looking out.
