I was at the store today and ended up flirting with a gal. I didn't mean to, I'm happily married, but I like to keep my game sharp. Anyways we got to talking about some bbq sauce, I made some joke about getting together for a bbq and she said "I have a boyfriend." I used the line I've seen repeated here "We just met and already you're telling me your problems!" She replied "He's not a problem!" I said without thinking "Well I'm glad he won't be a problem."

I thought the "telling me your problems" line was just a funny throw away line, but oh my no. I could see the hamper spinning, and I admit my hamster was spinning as well with the genius of that line. Imagine her shock when I ended the convo a little later with a "well, take care!" and didn't ask for her number. She would have totally been DTF if I would have pursued it.

This is powerful stuff we learn here boys. Use it wisely, and don't break up any homes that don't need breaking up.

Well don't get too full of yourself just yet. A flirty conversation with a girl doesn't mean anything. You don't know a girl is DTF until she actually fucks. You cannot take their words and actions at face value.

I think you actually made too much out of the encounter.

Was it witty and did it show quick thinking on your feet? Yes.

But here is the thing, you have NO idea if she was DTF unless she indicated she was verbally or non verbally. You have your own hamster spinning until that point, which you saw. But thats all it was.

I've recently started to test the waters with a number of friends' GFs, to kind of check the state of mind. I might be fooling myself, but I feel that's just the game: They're with the BF until someone better shows up. It sounds cliché, something I've been told for years now, but actually getting that vibe from women is a different experience.
