Dear Patriots,

We are approaching the third birthday of ShitAmericansSay (24/01/2016), and are "rapidly" approaching 25K subscribers.

This calls for a new, improved look! We've had the same header for ages, and it's time for a new one.

We are opening the creation of a new header up to you! Submit your header to the mod team, and the best header will be chosen.

The winner will recieve:

• His creation adorning the subreddit (duh);

• Acclaim in the sidebar;

• Reddit gooooold! At least 1x, if anyone besides me wants to pledge gold for the winner too, let me know and I will add it to the treasure pile.

And of course, the eternal gratitude of the best userbase on all of Reddit.

Specifics:

• The header must reflect the 'purpose' of the sub: we're not here to hate on, or be mean to, Americans. A header which is satirical but good-spirited in nature will have a much greater chance for victory.

• You can submit as many entries as you want.

• If you're really good at CSS too, and want design not only a new header but a complete CSS layout for the sub to go with it, that is perfectly welcome. We can't guarantee that this layout will be adopted too, but if it does your victory will be all the sweeter!

• We currently do not know how the selection process will go, or how long the contest will be open. We'll see how it goes: if we get flooded in entries this might be over soon, if we get one or two in a month it might take longer before we have a pool large enough, if we get none at all we might quietly take this down and pretend it never happened. The vote for the new header might also be opened up to the userbase (after a pre-selection by the mod team) - but of course that also depends on the number of entries.
