Reminds me of Borderlands

Because it's useless beyond its novelty value?

I've thrown away many a splat gun because of this. Neat to look at, not functional beyond its tacticool factor (at least for me).

All school staff are confused.

Am I the only one who thinks this kid is annoying

like have you seen that video where he claims to solder together CPU's..

I wish my race was an oppressed minority so I could chill with obama..

Says more about MIT admissions than anything else if they let someone in for a clock. Had he applied already with good grades and stuff?

How do you not realize that it's a PR move? Had it not gotten any news coverage, there is no way MIT would consider admitting the kid just for removing a clock casing.

Definitely a PR move by MIT. A good one at that. They never even offered him admittance; only a tour of the campus. There was never any scholarship given. The media and the public extrapolated the facts.

The kid is in middle school a freshman in highschool. The only thing MIT said was that they liked the creative thinking and that kind of thinking is what MIT candidates should have. They saw an issue and capitalized on the situation. Praising engineering creativity and advertising for the school.

This kid does not have a scholarship or even admittance to MIT. However, if he keeps being curious and passionate about STEM he has the potential to be a great student there.

Ah thanks for clarifying. Guess I won't need that pitchfork.

Are you sure, because an anonymous horde says he was admitted with a full scholarship and they're naming the school after him and from now on they'll only admit minorities

source on him getting offered a scholarship or admission to MIT?

Thought the kid was in middle school or something. Doubt he applied but maybe I'm wrong, dunno.

Honest question but did that little shit get a scholarship for doing nothing but gutting a clock putting it in a box and trying to cause shit after he was told not to?

You're what's wrong with the world. And he didn't get a scholarship by the way.

I'm building a clock that pulls time over WiFi. Think they'll give me a scholarship?

Are you muslim?

No, but I could totally make it look like I am. Go on shouting stuff like "JUST BECAUSE I'M WHITE I CAN'T BE A MUSLIM"

Sorry, only brown Muslims get sympathy, you cis white male scum

Stop appropriating their culture!

The high end lithium polymer batteries used for RC planes and helicopters can explode just by piercing them with a knife. I wonder what they would do if some kid brought in a wifi clock powered by 20 pounds of li-polymer batteries
