New to the sub - found while looking for broader information on the TPP. Found a couple of cool threads. Thanks.

My question(s): I'm in the solar industry. Have been for about 8 years. There is a constant argument on the benefits/costs of subsidizing energy at various stages of development. The IMF talks about externalities such as health and climate change costs in addition to subsidies. The nuclear people ignore all subsidies except a carbon tax. And the fossil folks want $/kWh alone - damn the health /climate /tax benefits.

My bias is toward solar because I believe we've got to consider a broader at of economic variables if we're true to the actual costs. Are there solid, broad economic analysis out there to help me understand this field better? EROEI is big in my head when thinking loong term.
