From their FAQ's page:

Men have always been better than women at Valentine’s Day. Women ruined it with their selfishness. Women are so selfish, they would rather allow a child slave to die in Africa (where diamonds come from) than give up just one of their precious Valentine’s Day gifts and extravagant meals.

I mean what the fuck is that? The whole section reads like some kind of satirical attack on consumerism, and could almost be quite good if it didn't just outright say "WOMEN DO THIS".

Clearly not a joke. I, for one demand that my husband sacrifice a minimum of 5 children per holiday. For our anniversaries I require one child sacrifice per year of marriage or no sex for the following year. My roses must also be harvested by bloody hands or they are meaningless. I prefer there to be some blood on the thorns as proof. I should clarify that, as a feminist, these all need to be male children. After all, the female children are obviously more important than the male children and I would do anything (and by anything I mean write a blog post, or complain to my friends) to ensure that they have a high quality of life.

But to answer your question, sadly, no, it is not a joke. They are serious.

I dont even want a diamond. Ive lost every nice ring ever given to me. My HS class ring. My 8th grade BEAUTIFUL ring my parents gave me. The only ring I've not had literally fall off my fingers and disappeared (I was sized too large for a while...) is my $50 claddagh ring I bought myself.

I definitely don't want an expensive rock to lose. Plus all the moral quandries.

I lost my wedding band a while back and this Christmas we're going to replace it. I'm thinking I'm going to look for an antique ring instead of going with something new. It avoids the moral quandaries and you wind up with something more unique.

I don't espouse any of their beliefs, but I think the acronym NOMAD [Network Of Men Against Disillusionment (or Deception? Something with a 'D' word)] might have a better ring to it. They could even keep that variation of the ♂ symbol they've got going on there.
