Except we just change the programming and they work, you can't really do anything to wooden bird wings that strap onto your back. This robot was very close to working if you take into consideration what was involved.

I'm saying there's a big difference in old failures and complex robots completing complicated tasks.

Point being, those were failures and this wasn't, at all, it simply fell, there's tonnes that went right and one tiny thing that went wrong, not necessarily and complete failure like wooden wings are.

Jokes aside, the gravity shift when the suspension compressed threw the whole bot off. The gyro sensors said, nope, gravity didn't shift, but the legs were off balance and it didn't know how to compensate.

This isn't a shitty robot in my opinion, because that's a minor error. It's a very advanced walking and articulating robot that simply fell.
