Woman had Psychologist Pour Draining Cleaner Into Eyes So She Could be Blind

(Kate Murphy) -- For most people, going blind is their worst nightmare. But for one North Carolina woman, it was a dream come true.

Jewel Shuping, 30, was so desperate to be blind that she poured draining cleaner in her baby blues to wipe out her eyesight, according to FOX News.

According to Barcroft TV video, Jewel suffers from Body Integrity Identity Disorder, a rare condition.

"I don't think I'm crazy," Jewel said. "I think I have a disorder."

Jewel researched several different methods to blind herself, and used draining cleaner, with the help of a psychologist, to follow through.

"I felt like this is who I was supposed to be," said Jewel.
