I DID PICK A CARD WITH MESA+FOSS SUPPORT. I owned an R9 270X for about 10-11 months. Another. It's not usable. I did my best, I did my part, I gave them my money ($220) of it to help the company, card, FOSS software, and it didn't work. It still doesn't work AFAIK. I know of one bug fixed 3 months ago that was my biggest/contributed to it. But I haven't tested it since. But I owned the card since Day 1 when R9 270X came out. It still is getting patches. I can't run FOSS software for my GPU. It doesn't support my hardware, my games, my usage, or me. It just doesn't. Anyone saying I'm a hypocrite can jump off a bridge, and should. I'm not a Stallman Nazi. I'm a gamer and user FIRST. FOSS activist SECOND. As everyone should be, as a good product also means more than being FOSS. Not everyone can work with FOSS from day 1 in software, gaming, hardware development, everything.
