Don't get your hopes up. This shit happens at all the international events now. There will be at least one or two posts and some upvoted comments from people who have never been to live major sporting events.

All it takes is an "oo" sound in any popular players name and you will get complains of booing.

              I hate this argument that real sports have booing, a lot of sports only boo types of play like diving in soccer/football but regardless soccer/football crowds are nothing to aspire to, there have been plenty of recent examples of racist chants from soccer/football crowds so I don't see how the reasoning that it's ok because "real" sports crowds do it too is acceptable.

              The reason booing seems weird in esports is because most people just want to see good games. In traditional sports it's more about your team winning in any fashion. Also in traditional sports you typically cheer for fewer teams that represent your city, whereas in esports we like many teams across many regions.

                Noone finds racist chants as acceptable. Booing is normal, and honestly nothing is wrong with expressing your disapproval of an opposing team doing well. As for your statement about soccer/football crows being nothing to aspire to, Look up Borussia Dortmunds fans. They are some of the best fans around and their displays of fandom for their team is really quite something.

                              Usually booing is only done in a few instances. They don't boo everything. Some examples of these instances are:

                              *A player who did something that the fans think was cheating (e.g. diving, a foul, handball etc.)

                              *The player left the club that is booing them on bad terms (e.g. your star striker leaves you for more money leaving you scrambling for a new one)

                              *You play for a team they dislike (for me it's burnley vs blackburn, neighbouring towns that hate each other)

                              *You're taking a penalty and they try to distract you

                              *You were a part of something controversial recently

                              This is as far as booing goes from my experience.

                                    CLG did get critizicm, but booing at them was never the case. There were jokes about them and other stuff, but there was never a really big hate towards them.

Trash talking is trying to get in someone's head and create doubt, kinda like taking the ball away from them. Hate is when a team is doing bad and you want them to do worse...                                           We lived in a constant state of no thread is safe, clg was the joke, but being the joke doesn't get you hated necessarily, it is bad in its own way, but it is not hate.
