Love that ending. "Ooo a gun."

Officers are trained to verbally announce when they encounter a gun, that way the other officers at the scene are aware that you're handling a firearm and there possibly may be more. His statement sounded like a mix between him making that announcement and genuinely being surprised that he just found a gun.

From the conversation that took place I assume he expected to find her bud, but he found her fucking illegal handgun instead.

"i SWEAR TO FUCKING GOD. WHY DOES THIS SHIT ALWAYS HAPPEN TO MEEEEEEE"

Mmmmm 'cause you a fuckup?

But being pulled over for a violation, stinking of pot, and having a gun just chilling in the backseat are all bullshit, it must be because she is black.

How dare they arrest her for these illegal things.

triggered

oh come on, the last time someone got triggered just for being black no one could wear hoodies for a year.

Bunch of racist cops making her car smell like weed and leaving her gun in the back seat.

B-b-b-b-b-but fuck the racist cop am i right? I mean, she pulled that card.

I know, can't we just let her commit crimes in peace?

Advice to live by: if you want to get away with breaking the big laws, don't break the little ones. If you are driving around stinking of weed while in possession of a weapon, don't drive a car with a light out, don't speed, come to full stops at stop signs, etc.

Good point. Joel Rifkin got caught because he was driving without license plates (with a dead hooker in the trunk). David Berkowitz got caught because of a parking ticket.

Timothy McVeigh (of OKC bombing infamy) was caught for an expired license plate.

Also they figured out it was McVeigh from the serial number stamped onto the axel of the truck the detonated the bomb in, then they tracked the serial number to the rent-a-car and found the person that rented it. I always found that interesting.

Dzhokhar Tsarnaev was caught playing hide and seek.

Hitler was caught because of a broken tail light

Too true. Or at least try to limit yourself to breaking one law at a time.

Yep. If you're the getaway driver for a heist, don't park in a handicap space. Also, don't rob the bank next to the restaurant with the best donuts in town.

Seriously, watch any cop show and nearly every drug possession charge is started by a routine traffic stop for minor shit. Like stop being fucking stupid and it makes cops jobs a thousand times harder.

No, its cause I'm black. If I wasn't black I wouldn't be smoking no weed and I wouldn't be having no gun! YOU DAM CRACKER COPS SO RACISTS!!!

They found weed, a bong, a scale, and a loaded gun in the car by the way.

Why. Don't smoke pot . But if you do, why are you carrying any more than you need to get high? Leave the rest of that shit at home. Why are you smoking up in your car? Why are you driving around with a fucking bong instead of a small pipe? Why are you carrying a gun around when you're breaking a bunch of other laws? Don't deal. But why deal out of a fucking car. And if you are doing all of that, why the fuck are you driving around with your lights out, or with a car that you know isn't compliant with the rules of he road? Jesus, people.

I learned in high school that one illegal thing at a time will generally keep you out of this type of situation. Going on a roadie? Take a car with working lights. Carrying an illegal gun? Don't go on a roadie driving a broken car.

What's a roadie?

If it's driving while high, you just shouldn't fucking do it.

EDIT: Since people really want to try to argue this...

"Both cannabis and alcohol were associated with increases in speed and lateral position variability, high dose cannabis was associated with decreased mean speed, increased mean and variability in headways, and longer reaction time, while in contrast alcohol was associated with a slight increase in mean speed" Source Study #1

" Experimental data show that drivers attempt to compensate by driving more slowly after smoking cannabis, but control deteriorates with increasing task complexity. Cannabis smoking increases lane weaving and impaired cognitive function. Critical-tracking tests, reaction times, divided-attention tasks, and lane-position variability all show cannabis-induced impairment. Despite purported tolerance in frequent smokers, complex tasks still show impairment." Source Study #2

If you're gunna get high or drink, don't get behind the wheel of a vehicle and put your life, and the lives of others at risk just because your impaired mind thinks it's okay. Stay at home and order in if you need munchies.

I used to hang out with a dude that hang a backpack with all his smoking stuff in it and would drive around with it ALL THE TIME. It was annoying as fuck. Like literally a bag with like 3 dry pipes, 1-2 bubblers, and a bong...and this fucker would literally pull out a bottle of water, pour out and clean his bong, fill it up, pack it up, and take rips while cruising around a neighborhood. Like he would either be almost at a friend's house or just leaving a friend's house and would do this. It was annoying as shit, because it was like dude...just wait and smoke at a persons house or just do it at home, literally anyway is better to smoke a bong than in your car while cruising around a neighborhood. Of course you know where this story is going.....he did end up getting caught for it (along with a bunch of other stuff through the years). But whatever..c'est la vie.

i know that the gun charge is already gonna fuck her pretty bad but having a scale just ensured that she gets charged for distribution which is gonna fuck her over even more.

everyone knows you never ever have drugs in your car with a scale.

genuine excitement. before finding this was just an, oh great, now we have to drive this belligerent cunt back to the station and lock her up for the night. after finding it, it's more of an, oh boy, this bitch's gettin a felony!

It's like he found an Easter egg.

If it comes back matching some other unsolved crime.... He kind of did. But never the less, one less gun in the hands of someone who's clearly demonstrated they shouldn't have one.

"Bruh you gonna get punched in your mother fucking face I swear to god." then she says, "I didn't threaten to punch you in the face..."

Thankfully there is body cameras lol.

This is how my wife argues. Then claims I'm the crazy one for making shit up. I'm installing looping audio recorders in the house as soon as I can afford. Tired of this bs

Yea when this happens she accuses me of gaslighting her by disagreeing with her.

It's not a majority of our relationship, but when it happens it's frustrating as hell.

I'm having the weirdest nostalgic trip down memory lane to a time when I was with my ex who also was psychical abusive.

I need a good response for, "I don't know what you are talking about." which seems to be my wife's go-to when I confront her in any way.

"Honey, why did you do that?"

"Do what?"

"You left your used snotty tissues on the table again."

"No I didn't. [looks over at table] I don't see anything there."

"Yeah, because I just threw them away."

"I don't know what you are talking about."

"..."

That is called "gaslighting".

She also says 'That's gay as fuck.' Multiple times, then the next thing she said was 'You pulled me over because I'm black! Second class citizen!'

She's saying "That's dead as fuck."

Which in the black vernacular means "That's not happening."

She never says gay. Cheers.

Yay bodycams!

That's my takeaway.

In Australia we call "takeout" (as in the food) "takeaway", and I was so confused by your comment for a minute.

That shit is good for both sides of the equation as far as I'm concerned.

The issue is we need to ensure they can't turn them off or "lose" data when it's convenient for them.

Fuck man, if you told me they're mandatory tomorrow but they're not being tracked and it's easy for them to "lose" data I'd still jump on that right away. I see no downsides over that versus what the current exchange is.

Yeah. And at the very least, the more they use the cameras as evidence, the more people will be very suspect when its lost.

"Where's the video? You guys always have video!"

They should just livestream this stuff

I'd watch that twitch channel

The subscription money and donations can go to more bodycams

It could work.

Until the criminals start using the livestream to screen-cheat.

then you can't tell the cop what to do!

-John Madden
-Excuse me sir? Why did you pull me over?
-John Madden John Madden John Madden John Madden Jon Madden John Madden
-Listen, I admit that I was going a a little over the speed limit, but I was in a hurry and it is very quiet on the roads this time of day anyway.
-Truck Fump
-Excuse me sir? I have trouble understanding you. Anyway here is my license and registration. I hope we can smooth this over quick and easy. Why are you walking away from me sir? Where are you going?
- ..

Command list

  • P - Pull over car
  • T - Write citation
  • A - Arrest
  • R - "Respect my authori-ty!"
  • B - Nightstick
  • P - Plant crack
  • C - Call driver a "chicken fucker"

Sweeeet.

Another benefit is hilarious footage like this. We need a TV series that just shows awesome footage of people being stopped by cops

We did, for like decades. It was called Cops. But people stopped watching it and now it's somewhere on cable.

Spike. It's still a great show and they've been using bodycams once in a while in a few of the new episodes.

Wow they still make new episodes?

Yep. They were in Omaha last year and one of the camera crew was shot and killed in the crossfire. First fella to die while filming I believe.

Dude robbing the store had one of those ultra realistic airsoft handguns with a gas blowback slide.

So wait, that means a police officer shot him? What episode was that?

I'm not sure if it was ever aired but yes a police officer did shoot him. I'm on mobile at work or I'd link the info.

Its a super cheap show to produce, I'm sure. Just need a camera man to go on ride alongs, and an editor.

And it was a cop that killed him.

Well G4 showed Cops in 4 hours blocks between the 4 hour block of Star Trek TNG and the 4 hour block of Cheaters. I think G4 just became Spike 2 though.

I Miss G4. Especially Attack of the Show.

You should check out Kevin's spiritual successor to Attack of the Show, "The Attack" on twitch

I still watch Cops. It's hilarious.

Please tell me you are being sarcastic and pretending not to know one of the most popular tv series of all time.

[–]Canadian_Weatherman 11ポイント12ポイント  (0子コメント)

I think this is a good demonstration of how bodycams are great for cops too. Seriously worth the investment.

I love the perspective. The louder somebody gets, the more they are probably guilty.

Not always true, I had a cop tell me my car smelled like weed even though there was none in there and I got really annoyed with him and couldn't help but get loud trying to say "dude it's freezing outside and I don't want ANYBODY rooting through my shit" while he repeatedly asked me why my car smelled like weed. Finally gave in and he ripped everything apart. He was visibly pissed off in the end. I was incredibly cold. We both lost.

He's just a dick for why he lost.

"Am I being detained" only works when they have no reason to be fucking with you. If the car is full of weed smell-it's probably a good idea to use some compliance.

lmao exactly.... She somehow thinks that's the secret code to get away from police when you're caught red handed.

Does it actually work?

Hardly ever. Most likely if you are pulled over by a police officer you are being detained.

This happened a couple of blocks from my place, saw it on the local police Facebook page. Their description:

Officers trying to do their job in a professional manner are greeted with belligerence and hostility. Officers conducting saturation patrols, for OVI enforcement, pulled over a motorist on Mayfield Road operating a vehicle without its lights on. Upon approach to the vehicle the odor of marijuana was detected. A subsequent search of the vehicle uncovered two small bags of marijuana, 3 scales, a water bong, and a loaded handgun under the drivers seat. The juvenile female was cited for OVI with other criminal charges pending in juvenile court. (Caution the video contains foul language)

Old enough to carry a gun under your seat (illegally), old enough to be charged as an adult. She was at least 16, old enough to know better.

Surprised they posted a video of a juvenile.

Public record, that's the whole point of body cams.

There are generally different protocols for juveniles, far be it from me to say exactly what those are though.

When I found out I was in a car that was driving a drug dealer to meet a buyer, I noped the fuck out of that car as fast as I could. I was 10 miles away from my house, said I'd get a ride home, wound up walking for 3 hours. Not risking that crap.

these dudes could have been shot. they know this. that's what people need to understand when they get pulled over.

Pro tip: When a police officer says that they smell weed in your car, don't say "You don't know where the weed came from."

ahahahahahahhaa "ON EVERYTHING. ON EVERYTHING"

These bodycam videos are making me like cops more and more everyday!

Yea. When mainstream media doesnt curve the story to make it "juicier" and you can actually see what happened you realize that shitbags are just that... Shitbags!

When Keeping It Real Goes Wrong

"They were smoking too!"

Whoops!

That's like when an officer asks you to do the ABC's backwards and you reply, "Man, I can't even do that sober! ... ohhhhhh shit."

So by her reasoning they could've seen a corpse in the back but that's not what they pulled her over for so they can't do anything? :s

"You don't know where I was. I said I was at a party and there could have been Indians, they were smoking too. You don't know shit"

"they were smoking too"

Admission of guilt right there.

So she says there could have been Indians, and then calls the dude racist? Why identify another race at all? Who cares who was smoking, it could have been the craziest fucking tortoise on the planet, it's not super relevant as to why the smell was there.

Although to be fair a weed smoking tortoise would probably be relevant as a lot of people are likely to remember that and confirm her alibi.

I don't hear it as "Indians" at all. I hear it as "niggas".

she thinks "am I being detained?" gets her out of trouble. she had no clue what to do when he said "yes". they don't have to tell her why either.

Actual Cop

Here in NC just the present smell of pot gets us in the car. Might not find any...you might of just smoked or had a friend that smoked but the sheer smell gets you in the car.

From experience, people who use the race card quickly have usually done something wrong and is used a defensive mechanism. Departments are looking to be politically correct now due to all the things that have been happen (furg/balt) so just using the race card and formally complaining can make the Officers life hell so many Officers dont even try anymore. Willing to answer more if anyone is interested.

I'm from Colorado and our officers do the same. The interesting thing here is it's generally just a weight check and sobriety assesment. I got pulled over last week and was had my bag weighed (only an eighth). I was allowed to leave with my weed and it's a bizarre feeling especially since I got a possession charge 5 years ago.

Try being let go with your weed in Chicago. Even weirder feeling.

Cops here got more to worry about. Works for me.

Wait, so if someone pulls the race card on cops even if they're completely in the wrong you guys can't do anything about the illegal activity because the race card is too much to deal with?

If that's the case that's very unfortunate.

Just trying to clarify, thanks

Where can I apply to get a race card

Costco.

You can paint yourself brown and start talking funny but people will probably just call you a racist. Bunch of oversensitive jerks.

It's all about the right shoe polish.

...That's not really what the parent comment said. The officer said that some cops err on the side of ease and don't do anything with these drama queens, not that they can't. I'm not sure if you actually meant to make that distinction or not.

Fucking using racism as an excuse, is the lowest you can sink. Fuck her.

This is just sad how fast people play the race card

I've seen the race card come out pretty quick before, but that may have been a new record

Oh what? You assume she's making records because she's black and smells like weed?

oh boy

That's the straw that breaks the camel's back. Everyone knows "boy" is a derogatory term towards blacks.

Had a dude accost me to buy his mixtape as I was walking to class one-day. I talked with him politely for about 2 minutes until I had to break it off, so I said "sorry I just don't listen to rap it isn't for me". He gets all wired up and says "oh so it's rap just because I'm black" I said, "No because I've never heard the word mixtape used outside the context of it being rap music" (in the context of today's music). He shut up real fast

My brother does the same thing and it pisses me off to no end. He'll be speeding and get pulled over and blame it on the fact that he's Mexican.

hahaha....race card denied!

this is right by my house and these cops handled it amazingly. im amazed they kept their cool

People argue body cameras are good/bad for cops or good/bad for citizens. Body cams are bad for assholes and good decent people.

1) You are pulled over for a traffic stop -- you are therefore being detained

2) You are obligated to get out of your car when being detained

3) Stop being a disrepectful cunt, especially when you are guilty as fuck.

Holy shit people, this is not difficult. This bitch is embarrassing.

"You're racist!" buries face in palm of my hands

Black folk make me look bad.

That is ok. Every time I see a native on the news its because he got drunk and did something stupid OR he owns a casino. Its usually the white native americans that own the casinos, though. Strange as that is.

The problem with racism is that there are just as many racists fighting against racism as there are 'classic' racists. People can't acknowledge that just pulling the race card trying to force a different reaction is fucking racist too. Judging your social interaction on the assumption that the white guy is a racist, is also racist too. The 'racially oppressed' racists are just as bad as anyone else but nobody wants to point it out because apparently pointing out that minorities can be racist too is considered also to be racist.

It's a whole big clusterfuck of dumbasses holding everyone else back

Black privilege - being able to use the race card willy nilly.

"I'm high, driving in a way that an officer took notice, acting aggressive and hostile, have an illegal gun in my vehicle, and stink like weed. These racist cops have no justification for arresting me other than I'm black!!!"

God I hate racists who use their own skin colour as the reason for everything.

The Race Card is too OP. Seriously needs a nerf, seems like everyone using a Black Magic deck is carrying it these days.

I love that people just assume saying "Am I being detained?" will make you the victor in any dispute with a police office.

When he said you're about to go to jail at 1:09 he sounded remarkably like Lt Dangle from Reno 911...

First I was bracing myself for raging against the cops...

Then...the more she talked, the more I wanted them to taze her.

is taze not a real word?

I think it would be tase because it's a taser they would use. Taser stands for Thomas A Swift's Electric Rifle, after a fictional character the inventor liked as a kid.

I'm so happy those cops had those bodycams on. This couldve been another damn protest because those racist ass cops made up the "smelling weed" bit and planted a gun in a poor black womans car!

And at the end, the cop is a magician. Amazing!

Was her logic seriously "You pulled me over for my lights so you can't arrest me for driving under the influence of weed and if you try and do that you're racist because I'm black" ?

have you ever thought about how at night time you cant see though the tinted rear window of a car, and from my experience 90% of the time if a cop is going to pull you over he/she will be behind you. if all of that is true in my opinion the cop wont know your black until they step up to the car.

If you get pulled over by the cops, obviously the best strategy is to antagonize them and to kick and scream. Cops are trained to let you go once they realize that you're agitated since people who are nervous and angry are usually innocent and have done nothing wrong.

What you should never do is to be friendly and cooperative, cops hate that and will shoot you on the spot.

Good thing this woman knew that.

Why do all crimes in every city take place on Euclid avenue or Martin Luther King street?

[–]ALL_OF_THE_FURRIES 12ポイント13ポイント  (4子コメント)

Something my dad taught me, you want to have infinitely less trouble with the police? Well, step one, don't be breaking the law. But step two, if you do get pulled over "how can I help you, officer?" Seriously, it's that simple. They're people, give them some respect, they'll give it back. Complete these two simple steps, and you're good to go!

People like this woman who pull the race card like this are why no one takes it seriously anymore.

Bodycams are making me respect the police again. Even I didn't think that could happen.

Thanks for this, I needed a good laugh today.

[–]Boarn 2

We need a subreddit dedicated to these videos. So satisfying

It annoys me so much when i hear someone throwing the term racist around. Dumb bitch.

People like this are the absolute worse. Rather than own up to your own faults you make it someone else's by playing the race card which does nothing but hurt us in situations where race is actually a factor. Didn't they ever read the boy who cried wolf.

'I will punch you in the face'....'I didn't threaten you'. Makes you wonder sometimes...

The sad part is that she'll fight this to the end. Even when she said she was going to punch the cop and then said she didn't say that. I used to work security and people will fight with you like no other; even after showing them a video.

"Here's the video showing you said this."

"No it ain't."

"..."

[–]Moikee 2

These two officers were incredibly patient dealing with her pathetic hissy fit, throwing out the racism card when it was obvious she was hiding something.

AND she threatened to punch him in the face?! I wouldn't DARE speak to a police officer like that, have some damn respect.

I love how quick she melts down once she realizes there's no way out and they're about to find the drugs and a weapon.

Love the patience of the officer!

Ooo gun. Last 5 seconds was the best.

Using racism as an attempt to get out of a crime that your dumb ass knows you're guilty of... how's that working for you?

Hey everyone, if you liked this video you'll love /r/amibeingdetained. It's a sub dedicated to cops laying the smackdown on idiots who think they can get out of things like routine traffic stops by being as belligerent as possible and it's absolutely hilarious.

License, registration and race card please.

Buncha racist cops. We should riot! Oh wait... I have a job. I guess I can't riot today. I'll catch the next one.
