So we've had some public discussion, and also private mod-only discussion, on possible changes for the subreddit. After due consideration, we are going to be implementing TWO new rules, both of which are not particularly novel, being blatant ripoffs of SRD rules. These rules are being implemented on a TRIAL BASIS, that is to say, after a few weeks, we're going to reevaluate what effect, if any, they are having, and decide whether to make them permanent, or otherwise tweak them.

So without further ado:

• No summoning users from the linked thread. When the subject of a submission shows up, while it certainly is dramatastic, it leads to quite a bit of incivility. No, if OP finds their way here by themselves, so be it, but we are going to prohibit summoning them, as it can be overly antagonistic.

• Do not link threads you are involved in. If you want to respond directly to the badhistory, do it. If you want to feature the badhistory here, do it. But it is an either/or proposition.

As I said, these two rules are being done on a TRIAL BASIS. Certainly leave your thoughts here, now, but we'll have an evaluation chat three weeks from now to make the final call on whether to continue with the rules, and if so, how they need to be tweaked.
