A better example would be when California voted against gay marriage and San Francisco mayor Gavin Newsome broke state and federal law and issued marriage licenses to gays. The Left never clamored for "rule of law" for him, or for him to be thrown in jail.

Same thing with sanctuary cities. Newsome also declared San Francisco a sanctuary city, in defiance of federal immigration laws.

Where were the calls to arrest him?

The moral of the story: The left only selectively believes in "the rule of law". It's okay when THEY break the law. When a conservative does, they must be jailed at all costs. The double standard and hypocrisy are on display for all to see.

If that's true (no source, can't confirm), then that's a pretty good point.

Picture is stupid, can't compare refusal to issue marriage licenses to people celebrating with some lights. The latter doesn't deny anyone their rights per law.

You've got a good point in your comparison, but I guarantee very few people on either side or inbetween would seek to prosecute or persecute someone for breaking a law they do not agree with. Did conservatives seek to imprison Kim Davis? Generally, no. Your statement above applies to the right and moderates as well.

Sanctuary cities are a better example, that is illegal and not supported by the constitution. Gavin Newsome is a patriot following the constitution on the gay marriage issue.

This is a very stupid comparison. One is a woman who did not do her job, and instead discriminated, breaking the law, because her of her religious beliefs. I don't see how shining lights on the White House interferes with anyone's else's life.

I'm confused why people here are happy with Kim Davis being so big govt that she is using the power of The State to mess with people's personal lives.

Shouldn't the argument here be that govt should have nothing at all to do with marriage?

But, since govt is in the marriage business, it should treat all people fairly, no?

LOL, aren't they celebrating a supreme court decision?
What does this have to do with Democrats?

I think it's wrong to support her. She should follow the law. I just found out she was a Democrat when she refused to issue the marriage certificates which is hilarious and falls right in stride with typical liberal hypocrites.

Yes liberals are hypocrites, if we join them then how are we any better?

She actually just converted to Republican.

Well done sir, you are most correct there is no contradiction in this at all... does make me wonder why you've posted this. It's almost like posting a pic of toast and headlining it "A pic of toast"?

Kim Davis is a Democrat too.

'Was'. Apparently she switched over after all of this.

I kinda doubt that her label mattered much in the past.

Her mother was a Democrat and held a position before her. She effectively inherited that position from her mother. She likely utilized her mother's contacts and connections when first getting the job, so her political beliefs might not have had anything to do with choosing her party.

For her it was just a job. A literal career politician, but in such a small town it's more a career than anything political (until she mad it so now).

If you can't tell, I hate small town political nepotism.

But it's the right thing to do, right? I mean they're people, right? Like you and me, right?

Right...
