If gender is a social construct and not a scientific one why should a person not have to meet the standards because they identify as a female. That is the rub. This nonsense has gone too far. There are some things women just can't do as well as men. If you want to lower the standards so women can make the cut, OK but people will die and missions will fail as a result.

Anybody who didn't know this would occur, is way too gullible.

Agreed.

All done to placate a subculture of my gender who just needs to have themselves injected into everything in order to demonstrate their "girl power!!". These mouthpieces do more of a disservice than any good.

We don't need to be involved in everything, especially in life/death situations where our size and strength is more likely to cause a problem. Yes, I get it, there are some guys who are weaker than us, I know, I work with power lifters and fitness freaks. Overall though, we're not the same. See: Williams sisters loss in tennis.

Yup, the only thing sexist about the ranger/west point academy was that they didnt allow women to try out, which they now lifted

I feel sorry for the women who actually meet the standards for ranger/officer, whose achievements are now called in questions thanks to this debacle

If they cannot uphold the standards, they should not be Rangers.

Even graduating ranger school, they're not rangers. Ranger school is a leadership course, it gives you the ranger tab and only means you're "ranger qualified." To actually be a ranger, you have to go through the RASP and get the scroll. You don't have to go through ranger school to be a ranger(unless you're E-6 or above).

So basically, in a life or death situation, a male soldier needs to accept his own death because the (lesser qualified to do the job) female soldier wanted to feel equal to men?

So simply, a woman's feelings are more important than a man's life.

Male disposability at its finest. Urgh... thanks feminism

Hasn't this whole "feels over reals" nonsense gone too far?

To think that life and death situations are being dictated by social justice warriors just goes to show how insane this craziness has become.

Does anyone seriously think a Russian Olympic shot-put monster from the days before drug-testing couldn't meet the standards?

If women are desperate to be frontline soldiers, steroids are the way to go. Along with all-female units so male soldiers don't abandon the mission to focus on saving the women (millions of years of evolution > months of training).

Yes, they'll burn out, but what do you think happens to soldiers anyway?

I couldn't help it, I read this thinking of Bart and Lisa in military school the whole time...
