It would have been better for him if he had landed on that large crash bag. What an idiot.

Good thing that large crash bag was there to catch his scooter.

He threw his scooter in the direction he wanted himself to go.

At least he was wearing a.....polo shirt?

[–]Imtroll [

Shoulda been wearing parachute pants.

Undercover Brother

Yep, that's the name of the movie. Good solve!

The opening sequence is still one of my favourite intros of all time, ripping through the streets keeping his orange slushie perfectly level

A buddy just came in my office this morning yelling about something and ended the whole rant with "and all I had to fix it with was a peanut. A PEANUT". I lost my shit.

He's also a fan of using "Nice job white boy, but if it was me I woulda ripped his spine out his ass" in response to actions which obviously have nothing to do with killing a man.

I know I shouldn't, but I laughed way too hard at this

That's what that is? I thought he was trying desperately to avoid a giant thing.

Crash bag..? Yeah, now I see what you mean. You called it, bra.

Ohhhhhh that's the point of the gif. I get it now!

That is the truth but why aren't you screaming it?

We have found the man who literally could not hit water if he fell out of a boat.

Chances are he would try taking it down a ramp.

There is an art to flying, or rather a knack. Its knack lies in learning to throw yourself at the ground and miss.

I feel like there would be a way to use him to generate infinite electricity if that were the case.

Kind of like this gif: http://i.imgur.com/HxkISNt.gif?noredirect

Oh, weve found him all right. It was even trifling to find him.

That's some special skill right there...I mean, not everyone could miss a bag that size. You gotta be good.

The gravitational pull of that thing alone should be enough to ensure a safe landing.

It's 50 Cent. Been hit with a few shells, now he throws like a gimp.

[–]Natural_Question [スコア非表示]  (4子コメント)

Half Dollar

Or as we here in Zimbabwe say, 1 trillion dollars

Edit: Thanks for the gold! Funnily enough, I'm sure that this is most probably worth more than an actual Zimbabwean dollar.

Can confirm. Have 5 bank notes from Zimbabwe of 10 trillion dollars each.

I like how the catcher drops his glove before the ball is even thrown.

He already knows

Actually that's normal technique in some schools of thought -- you present the target, then rotate at the last second in case you need to dig or block a ball in the dirt (esp if you think that's a strong possibility). Might have been totally reflexive.

Absolutely right. Like how fielders automatically start shuffling their feet when the ball is pitched. Your reaction time is better if you're already moving.

Same concept in tennis. When the person tosses the ball to serve you're suppose to do a split step as the returner.

[–]shelf_satisfied [スコア非表示]  (1子コメント)

Same thing with volleyball. As soon as any woman starts to jump up for the ball, I've already undone my pants.

Yeah, I figured it was an instinctive reaction to a bad pitch. This is a good point though

That speed wobble at the end... that's when you know shits about to get real.

That speed wobble at the end... that's when you know to lower your centre of mass. Physics.

People said that to me when I started longboarding, but that doesn't mean anything to me - how do does one "lower their centre of mass"?

Edit: Ahh that makes sense, when people said lower your centre of mass, I thought they meant lower as in reduce... I'm not fat...

Crouch?

Most of your mass is in your torso, lower your torso and you lower your center of mass.

Riiiight, I thought by lower people meant reduce - so basically I hear "reduce" and "mass", I mean that takes a while .-.

Technically, squatting would help for both

You can't reduce a center of mass, it's a point in space.

thats now how you stop speed wobbles on a board. Oscillations intensify and lowering your mass aint going to do shit. you gotta break the oscillations. People say to put more weight on one foot (thus breaking the two truck loop). Others say to initiate a turn that way weight is on one side of the board.

More weight on the front truck stops wobbles right away. Pretty cool, actually. You can't do shit about it on a scooter, though. Get a steering damper maybe? lol

Who the hell told you to crouch to deal with speed wobbles on a longboard? That's the worst thing you can do at that level. All it's going to do is put your body in a position you're less comfortable and therefore even more unbalanced in, and make you go faster to boot. Crouching to deal with speed wobbles should only be done by people who are already extremely comfortable crouching at high speeds- that is, people with enough practice that they likely aren't getting speed wobbles anymore anyway.

To anyone reading this: what you should be doing is keeping your weight forward. As much weight as you can comfortably place on the front truck- that's where you want your control. Stand comfortably and build your speed up slowly. When I started doing big hills I was stood almost straight up. Don't bomb something when you're not even sure you can ride it. Oh, and while we're at it- learn to brake, get a spotter, and for fuck's sake put a helmet on.

There are changes you can make to your setup to prevent speed wobbles, but they also prevent you from learning from your wobbles. I avoid them. Just keep your weight over the front truck and stand comfortably.

ONLY crouch when you want to go faster. That's essentially the only thing it does.

Bend your knees, homie

I'm sure you would have figured out the mechanism anyway without knowing the term or the physics behind it. Through trial and error you would have picked up muscle memory that when you go into a turn or you need to catch your balance, it's easier when you use your knees.

It should really be noted that lowering your centre of mass is only a good way to deal with speed wobbles at high level- people just learning to deal with speed wobbles should stand in whatever position is comfortable and focus on keeping their weight forward.

Any benefit they gain from lowering their centre of gravity is defeated by the extra speed that comes along with it.

So I think I see where he went wrong. Instead of landing on the crash pad he landed on the ground. Definitely a rookie mistake.

He shouldn'ta ever turned right.

I cannot understand how these guys aren't all dead by now, that probably should have killed him.

what the fuck. how are they so casual about that shit...

Because they do that shit for a living.

Extremely weird. I'd never heard of these guys until this morning because they are filming behind our building... and then you post this video. STALKER.

Well that went to shit pretty quickly. He looked good until the last 2.3 seconds.

Could at least give credit to the last guy

There was actually another repost of this within the last 2 months. Don't have the link but I know for a fact because I texted the imgur link to my dad.

Edit: Didn't even change the title. https://www.reddit.com/r/funny/comments/3h8y1j/nailed_it/

I have mixed emotions about reposts

The redditor in me hates them because of blah blah blah the usual complaints

But most of my favorite things I've seen on here were not OC and were things I wouldn't have seen without reposting. Since everybody hasn't seen everything, it isn't really reasonable to hate someone simply for reposting. But, again, I think at least giving credit to the post you you're reposting is a reasonable way to do so.

haha same here, I'm always like WOW THIS IS AMAZING!!! Them I hear about REPOST! And then I'm like "Wow, what an ASSHOLE!!". But then I wouldn't have seen it, so now I hate a person who brought light into my life.

Paradox!

[–]Agonze [

The struggle is real. The only solution is to hate everyone all the time forever.

I agree with you but this was on the front page less than 2 months ago. There must be some kind of statute of limitations.

No, this is reddit where all content must be reused and recycled in order to stay a green website.

[–]pink_portal_pony 1ポイント2ポイント  (1子コメント)

there should be some kind of certificate for creating karma from recycled resources.

Something with mold perhaps.

Shit, dude. That was a year ago. Might as well be ancient history.

Scooter brother went down hard.

They did tell him to land the scooter into the crash bag...

That's what you get for riding a scooter......

Good thinking putting that big air bag there so the scooter doesn't get damaged.

how many bones did he break? Did he survive?

[–]Yamilon [

RIP to that guy's tail bone.

We trained him wrong on purpose as a joke.

Dang- looks like they plywooded a long flight of stadium stairs.

That's a lot of plywood they had to buy to get an injury.

I would like to try that on a skateboard. Rather not on a Kick-ofdeath-bike.

Well at least the scooter landed safely,

Lots of compression at the bottom of that ramp to be riding something so unstable

It looks like he starts speed-wobbling and once he hits the ramp part, his legs stiffen and he speed-wobbles even bigger and then off the ramp.

countersteer. how does it work

Is the scooter ok?

I need to know the aftermath

Ah yes, the last-second squiggle. Causing wipeouts and peeing on your leg since before recorded history.

Thank god the scooter landed safely.

Glorious.

It's a metaphor for so many things.

But more than that, it's also a guy slamming into the ground, missing the GIGANTIC airbag that was right in front of the ramp.

It like physics just farted in his face

Well at least the scooter landed on the bag and is alright. His mom would've been pissed..

Perfect example of zigging when should have zagged.

I was completely expecting him to hit that huge blowup thing, thankfully he aimed to the left!

I think it's funny everyone thinks he was aiming for the bag, if you zoom in there's a post-it note with a bullseye drawn on it EXACTLY where he lands. 10/10

Good thing the scooter is safe. whew..

He should have aimed for the grass, then he would have hit the crash bag.

This is a metaphor for my life.

I always assume the people in these type of videos are dead and that's why they end where they do.

Is there a shitter extreme sport than stunt scootering? I mean, with a BMX you try not to put your feet on the ground, relying on balance and skills. With skateboards you have to pull tricks without being attached to your board.

Stunt scooterers hold onto their deck and effectively pretend to do stunts.

Or, in the case of this guy, not.
