It's just the one person, over and over. Thanks OP!

These actually look cute/useful too. I hate that so much home-sewing apparel is just... homely.

I'm currently learning to make clothes after getting confident with bags, and after sifting through patterns and bookmarking for the last three days, I happened across this awesome site. It's 16 patterns in PDF format that run the gamut from skirt to pants to cami to button-down, and they're completely free. I'm super psyched.

Just a note: there's been talk that these patterns are a rip off of another pattern company, Salme Patterns. At the very least they're design copies. I don't know what the Spit up and Stiletto's ones are like, I don't think I've ever seen any actually made up.

None of styles on either site are ones that I've seen on other, larger websites and pattern books. Most of the are the 'classic' styles.

I'm sorry, I'm not quite sure what you're saying?

I think the point /u/twinnedcalcite is making is that none of those patterns on spitupandstilettos or on Salme are completely original - they're all pretty classic cuts. It's hard to say that one is a rip off of the other when they're pretty standard looking designs.

This is great, thanks!

Have you "bought one"? It seems strange that you have to check out to get something for free.

I've found quite a few free patterns that work like that. Probably partly because the pattern maker is already set up with a store, and partly so they can track how many people download what.

Also, I've found that those patterns often come with a "For the exclusive use of [Name] [Email address]" watermark on the bottom. Which makes it easier to print at a copy shop or copy 'n' print center.

Sidenote: I've never had to enter payment information if I check out with only free patterns. Maybe my name, address, etc, but not my credit card.

Haha, I thought so too. No worries, I checked it out before I posted it here. Just click "Add to Cart" and go through the checkout process; it has you put in a "Billing Address" but doesn't ask for payment information of any kind. When you finish, it sends you the PDF links via email.
