So much hatred AGAINST my religion in this thread. And in a thread about a tragedy, about loss of human lives. Shame. I feel horrible.

I would like to stress that what I'm about to write is in no way intended to make you feel even worse, but islam is an embarassing abomination on mankind. Other religions make me cringe too, but not nearly as much as islam. It's a PROBLEM. Islam is VIOLENT, divisive, misogynistic, and utterly, UTTERLY incapable of critical self-introspection.

Not to mention that dying during hajj is a blessing and an honour to Muslims. So this really isn't a tragedy. Islam worships death and has no respect for life.

I don't feel bad about nazis dying at any point. Same goes here.

Absolutely. Religions make me cringe. Some of them make me cringe less than others. I find there's a lot of stuff worthy of respect in religions such as buddhaism (which is more of a philosophy really) and even hinduism, even if I do not subscribe to them (as you may have guessed, secular humanist atheist here).

And you'd have to be incredibly dense to interpret the my previous posts the way you did (not to mention digging in my history is a pretty sad thing to do). You completely ignore the context. The first comment is very, very obviously a joke of the kind people post several thousand times a day on Reddit. Go on, click the link and make up your own mind.

I am amazed how you manage to twist 'Ever since women became empowered and in control who they make babies with, men with feminine qualities and features are deemed the most attractive. I wonder what men will look like in 400 years." around to accusing me of promoting ethnic cleansing.

Congrats, you earned the title 'dumbass of the day'.

How can your comment not intent to make /u/jdvt make feel worse, while bascially saying that he/she is part of a hate filled religion?

[–]pooshhMao [スコア非表示]  (1子コメント)

Islam is not a hate filled religion? Oh, I must've gotten it all wrong.

[–]bigbramel [スコア非表示]  (0子コメント)

Just going to say that culture and religion are different things.

And that it seems that atheism is way more hate filled, if you look at your and others comments.

so? millions of Muslims in the world ARENT like that. I'm not saying that to DEFEND the worse parts of Islam but the point is many of the people killed in the stampede would have been tolerant, gentle, and open minded people, even if they were Muslim. and even if they weren't, your comment essentially boils down to heavily implying that they deserved to die for their beliefs, which in itself is pretty fucking despicable.

[–]pooshhMao [スコア非表示]  (2子コメント)

I did not say that at all. I don't even believe that. Stop trying to put words in my mouth, and work on your sub-par interpretation skills.

You know what's truly ironic? That muslims believe they deserved to die. According to their faith, every single thing happens because their god wills it. Since you appear to have enough brain cells to log on to reddit and to post messages without spelling errors, chances are you're smart enough to see the sickening hypocrisy behind this.

[–]lysergic_as_fuck [スコア非表示]  (1子コメント)

you replied to a comment saying that we should be mourning the loss of human lives rather than using the incident to advance an agenda against religion with a justification about why that religion was bad. whether you meant it or not, the idea that they deserved to die was certainly implied, which is what I said. so it's not my interpretation skills that need work, it's your skills at conveying a basic meaning in your writing.

the idea that they deserved to die was certainly implied

No. It wasn't, at all. I feel sorry for them. More so, I feel sorry for the loved ones they left behind. I do feel that there is a borderline hilarious amount (which may not be the best choice of words given the circumstances, but fuck it) of irony here, with large amounts of people dying gruesomely (on several occasions), with the fucked up, manufactured apologist rationale that they consider it an honor to be killed by that which they love so much.

[–]protean1 -4ポイント-3ポイント  (6子コメント)

Oh boohoo people are insulting your religion are you going to chop our heads off now?

[–]IndefinableMustache [スコア非表示]  (3子コメント)

I'm not a Muslim or really religious in anyway, but I see all these hateful comments and just want you to remember that they're a minority. Just like I know it's only a small minority of Muslims who are extremists and they're the one who make the news, not the peaceful silent ones who just want to be left alone. Please don't take these ignorant comments to heart.

I hope /u/jdvt sees your comment man, I wanted to say a similar thing but couldn't put it eloquently enough. A vocal minority doesn't represent how most of us feel.

Thank you for your kind words.

I am also not a hate filled piece of shit!

I am really disappointed with reddit/humans right now.

Well when Muslims are saying they wish th ey had been the ones to be killed and when the Saudis are completely terrible at planning and managing this, it's hard not to. Millions more attend other religious gatherings around the world, and this does not happen
