So Is there gonna be a new sub to migrate to? Or can we get an actual fucking dialogue going with these buttsniffing mods?

They have responded a few times, each time saying they are "waiting to have a civil conversation" or some such equivocal bullshit. Basically it means they won't talk to anyone who doesn't like the decision, which in turn means they don't post about it because 1/100 people actually agree with what they've done.

/u/courtiebabe420 Actually had some thoughtful conversations last night, but everything she said boiled down to "We know you're upset and figured you would be ahead of time, but we think this was the right decision for the subreddit and likely won't be changing it."

b-but think about all the serious discussion it's crowding out. what about such classics as:

"i am a special snowflake, tell me why I should not go to law school so I can ignore you"

"i do not like law school or want to be a lawyer, should I invest several more tens of thousands of dollars to go to law school and be a lawyer"

"i actually cannot think of a third post fuck this sub"

When I was a 1L there was actually a lot of legit discussion on this sub about law school: Strategy about tests, material, law school politics and dynamics with your classmates/professors, talks about extra cirriculars. It was like a place to talk about lawschool without endless negativity like TLS or xoxohth. Nice for someone like me who wanted to be a lawyer and was excited about it even though I was at a third tier school.

But there were memes too.

Third post is usually

"I just finished 1L year and want to quit, should I keep spending money doing something I hate?"

[–]hubeijames 2ポイント3ポイント  (0子コメント)

Nah, the third post is "I am a freshman in undergrad/senior in highschool and I have no idea wtf to do with my life so I'm just saying law school; I have not done a tiny bit of research about what that entails please do it for me."

Meme Monday - The only day memes are allowed!

Terrible Tuesday - Only posts about how bad you are doing and how much you want to quit.

Wildcard Wednesday - Post something that should go in another sub here!

Turn it around Thursday - Posts about how far behind we are and sharing of outlines and case briefs to get caught up.

FTM Friday - Complaints about the mods.

Salisbury Steak Saturday - self explanatory.

Serious Sunday - ABSOLUTELY NO POSTS OF ANY KIND

Be careful. By your definition, complaining about the no meme rule has become a meme.

it's impressive how boring this sub is now. these complaining about the mod posts are now the most entertaining things

[–]theshedresJD 14ポイント15ポイント  (0子コメント)

you are all either woefully ignorant, prideful, or just plain stupid

All of the above.

You know a thread is gonna be good when it starts with a dictionary definition.

And by good i mean pretentious.

This was already one of the worst subreddits on reddit. With all of the mod drama, it is even worse.
