This is our first poll for the forum.
Everyone should feel free to make their own polls as well.

I've been a very active member of bitcointalk since mid 2011. Sadly, I no longer consider it a good venue for Bitcoin discussion. Without getting into details, it suffices to say that theymos and the other mods of bitcointalk and /r/bitcoin (on reddit) are aggressively removing threads and posts that they don't agree with in a self-admitted campaign to hide others' views. This has pushed myself and others to seek new bitcoin-focused communities without aggressive censorship. I hope this forum and others thrive.
Bitcoin is the first monetary system to credibly offer perfect information to all economic participants.

Those are the same reasons I'm here, and why I was motivated by the people on /r/BitcoinXT to setup this forum.

Please help spread the word that this forum will permit dissenting views.

In an open debate, the truth will likely win out in the end.

I've been in bitcoin since the begin of 2013. the problem with bitcointalk and reddit is that it is controlled by the same person which is a big problem in my view. theymos will always censor stuff when he thinks it is necessary. it already happend. it will happen again.

it would be even better if bitcointalk, reddit and this forum would have different mods, but at least now we have 2 different forums. :P

Found in the #Bitcoin IRC channel. Figured it wouldn't be bad to grab my name and make a few posts.

I don't think there's any kind of censorship going on in bitcointalk.org but came here trying to reserve my username anyway.

Let's see how anti-censorship the admin of this forum is.

Roger Ver is a lightning rod for bad publicity about Bitcoin. The bad publicity he generates (Mt. Gox, Bounty Hunter, suing Amiir Taaki, losing his citizenship and then complaining that a clerk in a passport window won't adjudicate his legal issues, etc.) far outweighs any good he did by investing in Bitcoin companies.

Roger Ver has access to the Blockchain.info database and is prepared to abuse it in order to take revenge over a customer service dispute in one of his other businesses.

Man, Roger. The heaviest form of censorship going on in bitcointalk was theymos moving posts asking people to download and run bitcoin XT to the altcoin board. You're actually more of a shill here since you're trying to cash in on the drama while I'm mentioning facts.
