However, ultimately, it was haviq's attitude which lead to him banned.

I was also not well disposed to him after he made such a mess of that teen's AMA.

There were many opportunities to come back from the brink, yet haviq squandered every single one of them.

Anyone reading the thread could have pieced together answers to those questions, but I'll summarize our discussion so far.

  • He posted a message in /r/buttcoin wondering if a teenaged girl was concerned about being raped at a bitcoin conference
  • Totes_meta_bot reposted the link in the bitcoin AMA, where the teenager would have seen it.

Personally, I think that posting questions about reddit teenagers being raped is a shitty thing to do whether they see it or not, but she would definitely have seen it.

You must be somewhat butt-hurt to have such a clear recollection, and record, of events that happened over a year ago, yet I still believe my original actions were justified.

it's weird to hear it happens often in one of the most anti-bitcoin subbredit.

Both bitcoin and buttcoin are full of trolls, it's one of the attractions of this sub.

I am actually interested in the content, although I don't have an in-depth knowledge of it as do many posters here.

Also there's a lot of necessary mod work in the sub, which I quite enjoy.

Also there are a lot of good-natured trolls here, which I also quite enjoy.

Mostly, though, it's for threads like these, which are ambrosia for attention whores such as myself.

Oh, yeah, they're not butt-hurt about transparency, they're butt-hurt that I restored a non-rule-breaking comment to the sub.

I did resign in protest at that, but then /u/EMR1028 got kicked by /u/IAmAnAnonymousCoward and I was eventually added back.
