Why was he drilling out his exhaust pipe in the first place?

This is from the video description:

"I was drilling an exhaust with a powerful drill. While leaning into the drill my hand must have hit the "lock on" button.

I was drilling the Yamaha FZ6's exhaust for a more throaty louder note. The stock exhaust has chambers where the exhaust gasses must go around. This dampens the noise a lot."

Wow... that is obnoxious as fuck.

You know what's obnoxious? My teenage neighbor's friend and his ignorantly loud Honda Civic Weedeater Edition. It has NO muffler. At all. Not even an aftermarket muffler. He comes and goes all day and night long, every day, without fail.

Yeah, fuck these guys who do this or any motorcyclist who chooses to make thier street legal bikes obnoxiously loud. We get it, you ride a bike and think your cool so we should look at you. But you suck everytime you roll through and wake up my kids at 0 dark thirty.

Fucking fags.

I hate the guy that revvs his bike every morning at 4:30am on his way to work. Then he blasts down the street making one hell of a racket and repeats the process at the next stop sign.

It is goddam obnoxious.

I wish the drill tore both his arms off so he never drive motorcycles again.

Yeah, nobody likes loud noises, but a lot of bikers do this for safety reasons. Bikes are inherently hard to see on the road, so it's generally good to make yourself as noticeable as possible.

WHY does a drill have a "lock ON" feature? I use drills frequently. Even the weakest when drilling into metal need to be braced against your leg/abdomen in case it bites, or held very gingerly so it doesn't ruin your wrist when it goes.

That drill has a matching drill press guide you can mount it in. Once you screw the guide to the material you lock the switch on and then use the guide's handle to work the drill.

If you stick a sanding disk or something like that on a drill, the lock on is pretty convenient.

I dislocated my wrist from a drill locking like this. No joke.

well, it's a shame it wasn't completely ruined then.

This is some Wallace & Grommit level crap

This is why you don't use a hole hog left handed.

Dat poor FZ6...

Ive had this happen before while standing on 2 rafters on a timber roof about 2 stories high. Nothing to stop me falling except myself.

No matter how far you fall, the ground will always catch you :)

at work we called them 'man killers'. Proper way to use that tool is to put on a 2-3' pipe on the handle and have someone help you keep the drill under control, Have a big guy be ready to catch it while you push it.

One of the gnarliest days of my life in metal work was having to go up with someone on a 30 foot ladder and ream out 1" holes. 2 guys on 2 ladders with a thing that wants to kill you..
