Seriously though, that is really rather clever.

I remember that watergun, those were the shit. These were the CPS line, stands for Constant Pressure System, and they offered a huge stream compared to the regular super soakers before them, and they were just huge overall. You really needed that strap, digging into your shoulder tight, and even then you could barely hang onto this behemoth when it was fully loaded with what felt like gallons of water. This was the heavy hitter on the playground back in my day, the Heavy Weapons guy, the big bad motherfucker. Fond memories.

Oh shit, a shotgun...

You'd kick all the other kids' asses in a squirt gun fight, that's for sure.

"I swear, it's just red food coloring!"

Anyone else fascinated at the CPS soaker model? That shit was Supa Powaful

Yeah, those things are actually pretty pricey. Kind of a waste for something so janky.

Remember when everyone flipped their shit that there was so much concern over a suspicious looking home made clock (yes it was fucking suspicious looking)...well this shit here is exactly why. Schools are fucked no matter what action they take, someone's always gotta bitch.

Yes, Pepperidge farm remembers.

It was a few days ago, everyone remembers!

I think the main problem there was it went from zero to terrorist in about 5 seconds. The kid showed it to a teacher to start the day and the teacher was like "cool don't show anyone else." Then he showed it to an english teacher because it started ringing in class who said it looked like a bomb but still nothing was done. Then maybe an hour afterwards they basically arrest him and start interrogating him without his parents or a lawyer. Then even after it is determined that it wasn't a bomb they consider filing charges against him for a bomb hoax which at no point he claimed it was a bomb and instead was, in fact, a clock. Did it look suspicious? Yes, a little. Did it require the response that occurred? No.

He refused to answer any questions to the police. His dad is an outspoken political advocate that has carried out several media stunts in an attempt to raise awareness about "islamaphobia". Also, look at the photos of the clock, he didn't build anything. He (his dad) took a functioning clock out if it's case and put it's contents in a larger, suspicious looking case with wires hanging out. The whole thing smells of shananigans and bullshit. It's just more sjw pitchforking and racism witch-hunting. That being said, zero tolerance policy is horrible.

I hope that, if anything, the country will now look to change zero thoughttolerance policies

He refused to answer any questions to the police.

Which is the way it should be because juveniles can't be denied access to lawyers or at minimum their parents. The rest makes a compelling argument of a set up. It will be interesting to find out more over the days/weeks.

Not answering questions from the police is a really good idea.

I've wondered about this but reddit won't hear anything of a setup even though the situation was fucking ripe for it. The fact that isn't even considered as a possibility is baffling.

seriously, that clock looked sketchier than this gun.

Reporting the clock would've been fine, the way the police and teachers treated him wasn't.

it was 2 circuit boards and an LCD display... the capacitors on the boards might pop like tiny firecrackers if you heat them up!

It would have only looked suspicious to an uneducated hick who things you can make a bomb with a bunch of electronics AND NO EXPLOSIVE MATERIAL AT ALL

IED's look like electronic parts bro.

Yeah, electronic parts with explosives attached to them.

If it were a bomb, this shit would be rigged up to a pipe or other pressure vessel, since his primary explosive would have to be gunpowder.

No way this kid had the capability or know-how to make C4 or PETN.

I see you used hick. Little bit of bias showing through? Shit goes both ways and that teacher probably has a fucking masters degree in her field and is far from uneducated. To most people, that mess of wires isn't easy to decipher, nor would they know where and what the explosives look like. Besides that, it only needs to look the part...and it looked suspicious. The fact the kid was told not to be showing people and he continued to lug it around...throw in his fathers background as an advocate against islamophobia and political aspirations and the fact a few eyebrows aren't raised is fucking baffling.

It's NERF or it's nothing

This is why we treat all things that look like guns as fully loaded weapons ready to fire.

How is a cop supposed to tell the difference. Then they get chastised for overreacting if it isn't a gun. Point anything that remotely looks like a gun at a cop and you deserve to be treated like a criminal.

[–]snotbag_pukebucket 11ポイント12ポイント  (0子コメント)

It gets even more suspicious if you're carrying that as a grown man wearing a balaclava entering a bank.

Who said this was pointed at a cop?

no one. it's hypothetical

The Keyboard Warrior know best! Like, a cop could, like, totally shoot the object out of the persons hand(s), run over at the speed of light and politely ask them to please cuff themselves.

Don't try to use logic, Reddit hates cops!

Dawg. Come on dawg.

But does it still work as a squirt gun?

I just saw this earlier today...

What could possibly go wrong?

well that's definitely.....a game changer.

Water fight!!!

It's like the rich kid who always had the best and most up to date nerf stuff. Except this time...its personal.

Does it come with water balloon grenades?

I don't wonder. It's because they're black.

Why would someone make this? I don't understand. It wouldn't pass through metal detectors or anything.
