Your Age - Your Life Expectancy

Although Life Expectancy at birth is the standard most often used for this important global metric, it can be calculated for any age and gender and you can compare these differences for virtually every country in the world in the special Chart below. If you are interested in global health we encourage you to review this data because the results can be quite different from country to country as their populations age. Use the Drop Down Menu's to select Year and Gender and note how the rankings change over time. Armenia, for example, ranks in the middle at birth, but at the older ages she is dead last for males. Russia does poorly at the younger ages, but makes huge gains at the older ages. The USA also ranks much higher at older ages. We have added a new Highlight Feature to help you compare and keep track of the countries you select. Simply click on the country name and it will turn yellow and will remain yellow until you click it again to remove it or you exit this page.

Modern thought on this important subject is it loses significance as a global or national metric for such things as healthcare and other important evaluative criteria without the ability to measure it by Age and Gender. This powerful chart can be used as a longevity table for every country in the world. For additional insight visit: LIFE EXPECTANCY HISTORY
