Taiwanese 7-11s all have a thing where you can bring your kindergarten class over, let them dress up in uniforms and stock shelves or run the register. When they finish, they usually get a cheap drink (Yakult) and a little toy. My class has done this many times. Kids have fun, and 7-11 gets cheap labor and great publicity! (Though some of the kids can't count yet, I guess that's what you get when you pay in 多多)

                                                                  yes, probably a family owned operation and Mom and Dad are there all day so the kid is going to be there. Kid likes to have their own uniform to be like Mom and Dad and will "help". Actually I went to a pharmacy in Bangkok once and they had a little girl about 4 or 5 with her own little white lab coat, standing on a stool and she gave the change.

                                                                  Super cute, learning math. The kids are around not for labor but for the parents to keep an eye on while they work.
