Over the weekend, there was a rumor going around that Black Lives Matter’s ringleader, Deray McKesson, had been offered a tenure-track faculty position at Yale University in “Leadership.”1No, not Yale University of the Bahamas Online, folks — the actual Yale University.
Naturally, we immediately started the hashtag #DerayYaleCourses — speculating on the various courses Deray might conceivably teach there — to mock this ridiculous news.
I think that goes without saying.
(Shoutout to my friend Chuck C. Johnson at GotNews.com.)
Deray is so friggin’ gay.
As it turns out, Deray was not hired by Yale as a faculty member, but rather, was asked to be a guest lecturer for a two-day seminar on leadership.2See #BlackLivesMatter Leader One of the Lecturers This Fall in New YDS Leadership Program, Notes from the Quad: News from Yale Divinity School (Aug. 14, 2015), [Hover for full URL].
So it looks like Yale hasn’t completely jumped the shark. Yet.
