Snowpack determines water in the arid West's irrigation systems, so another bad year would suck for farms. So we want a good El Niño. Of course it could assist another 2011 with 178% of snowpack - slight dent for ag but could be way more for recreation. Hiking the Sierra Nevada and do not want to be smoked out like a big ham next summer - more about wildfires (think I'll take watching the lead hiker posthole first).
