  1. Valve will almost NEVER reverse a VAC ban.

  2. Valve's customer service is atrocious, you'll likely never get a response and if you do the response will be "We will not reverse a VAC ban.".

  3. You haven't lost your items, in fact they're more secure now since they can't be traded of that account.

While most of you will say it's dumb to spend money on a game, but is it really if someone enjoys it?

Yes, it is. Because you're paying a private company that through their software license has specifically disclaimed any liability or responsibility to treat you fairly or like anything other then a credit supplying program for them. You specifically gave them permission to be the arbitrator in decisions that directly profit them with no appeals process. At least when you spend $500 in other stupid ways, like building miniature ships in a bottle, at least at the end of the day you still have something to show for it.

Everything here is correct but the conclusions. Many forms of entertainment do not result in a physical goods. What you're paying for is an experience, which you valued very highly. If Valve closes their doors, we all lose our Steam games. It certainly is NOT dumb to spend your money on experiences you enjoy. But it is dumb to give people money and not understand/read the fine print.

I get it, and I don't get it. Spending money on virtual goods sounds crazy to me. Spending money on an experience I can't hold in my hand is completely understandable (like a concert?).

I'll probably just stick to farmville.

I think this response says more about you as a person than it does about OP's situation.

If you've ever gone to a movie, a concert, a play, or owned a physical possession that you don't own at the moment or don't plan to own for the rest of your life, you've found value in something and yet you don't have anything to show for it. Something doesn't have to be a physical object for it to be worthwhile.

Lost 500$ in virtual items.

So, on platform called Steam its possible to buy ''items'' for one game (CS:GO). While most of you will say it's dumb to spend money on a game, but is it really if someone enjoys it? Anyway, back to the point, I've spent $393.55 USD on the game, and my inventory is worth 581$. And i got banned for ''cheating'' in this game. Here's the thing, i have never cheated, honestly, NEVER, and i realise that is what everyone says, but it is true. Now, since i know i never cheated, i tried to contact their support about the case, and every time i got the same answer that bans won't be lifted, and i will not be assisted. I also tried to send e-mails, not a single answer from any of their emplyees. What can i possibly do to show that i never cheated? They have logs from when the ban occured, and they can tell what got me banned, they just refuse to do it. Its been 148 days since the ban, what can i possibly do now?
