Dov Charney is innocent: The real story behind the ousted American Apparel CEO

Gavin McInnesRebel Commentator

The narrative behind the firing of American Apparel founder and CEO Dov Charney is simple: He is a disgusting old pervert who overspent and nearly bankrupted the company with sexual harassment suits. He was fired twice because there were no other options.

(Language and content warning:)

But the truth is, the company was doing fine.

Yes, it had a bad year but corporations of that size often do.

I believe there was a hostile takeover within the company. They wanted to take his shares but they needed a curtain to hide behind. The Social Justice Warriors were happy to take the "disgusting old pervert" narrative and Dov's enemies used their enthusiasm to justify a hostile takeover.

This is very dangerous because it's becoming a corporate pattern.

When a founder is getting paid too much or owns too many shares, executives use these idiotic liberal arts graduates as propaganda pawns to turn the guy into a villain.

The irony here is, these activists and bloggers think they're taking down the patriarchy and empowering the little guy when they're doing exactly the opposite.

They are the unknowing henchman of the very rich.

So where does it end?

When liberals rid the world of all the Dov Charneys there will be no ways for the SJWs to pay their student loans. The top 0.01% will be on an island somewhere and the bloggers will be left saying, "Uh, can we have our patriarchy back?"

This is what happens when you destroy something with nothing to replace it. You're left with nothingness.

Can’t agree with you on this one. I think it is anti-feminist to not want to have exposed naked women’s breasts and bodies, portrayed on a clothing website. NOT feminism. Feminists are the ones advocating to be nude, not anti-feminism.

If that wasn’t his doing, then please correct me. But, I find the site highly offensive & have even considered not shopping there. I did, once. And the sizing was so off-base, that I had to return what I bought through the mail.

Ordinarily I would be on this guy’s side….but if he had anything to do with the proliferation of men’s and boy’s pants that have a a waistline designed by some gay apparel designer with a butt cleavage fetish…..then let the harpies eat him alive…….:-)
