and despite the fact that Rebecca and Megan have put several anime/manga inspired cutesy warframe girls on prime times fanart section people are suddenly disgusted at seeing some completely decent fanart. Because that's exactly how I phrased my criticism. You don't seem to be understanding my point, so I'll try explaining myself as clearly as possible. The reason why I am against this post and have made the comments I have is because I believe this drawing adds nothing of value to the Warframe community. If you want to join some other community to look at art of sexualized little girls, be my guest. But don't drag that shit in here. To clarify: blood and gore is not offensive to me. Things being cute is not offensive to me. But a) I don't think that they mixed well in this particular instance, and b) I don't even think this is 'cute' to begin with. It is creepy.

Look, its obvious from the up/down votes how the majority of the sub's population feels, but when content you don't like continually gets up voted to the front page, the comments section is the only place left to voice your displeasure. As for the content itself, we're talking about a horrifically mutated woman from a grim-as-fuck universe being drawn as a flowers-and-sunshine little girl in a way that may or may not be suggestive. Surely you can see where the down votes/dissent comes from. And like it or not, all too often there is an underlying amount of innappropriateness in fan art (especially anime-style fan art), and I'd rather voice my displeasure now then wait to see if the sub slides down a slippery slope.

You're using the capitalisation wrong. PAUSE pause WORDS for EMPHASIS words for emphasis Perhaps should be italisized. It is NOT random. I did capitalize "incorrectly" incorrectly but it is emphasis. The fact that you understood that it was emphasis tells me that the message got across.

True, it is very vague. My interpretation was: If someone is simply spamming something unrelated or just spewing hate for no logical reason, they should be downvoted. Tired of... fanart? Fanart consistently gets posted to this subreddit and as long as it's appropriate (and often sometimes when it isn't) it is perfectly alright. Artwork like this gets on the front page of the sub because people like it and vote for it, there's warframe related content on here for all different types because, after all, this is the warframe sub.

You have a point. However, a lot of people like it. Which makes you seriously think about things. Like, "what kind of planet i'm living on?" and "where can i get ticket to move on the new one?".
As far as Warframe fan art goes, amount of loli or just oversexualized works is overwhelming compared to everything else. Mostly because it appeals to the audience, perhaps, not because it's authentic to the source or somehow extraordinary. Some artists use that intentionally to increase their popularity, just that. Being exceptional and creative artist is much harder task.
I don't have anything against cuteness, nor butts or tits. But everything has its own place. In my opinion Warframe universe is quite grim. Yes, there's some tits, some butts, but it mostly about constant war, violence and despair. Haven't seen anything cute there so far. Only seasonal bunny ears and deer horns, but that doesn't count.

Not by this kind of anime, though. There's huge difference between Guyver and, well, this. Just an example. Yeah, Warframe is partially inspired by anime and manga, not cute and fluffy type of it, however, but violent and action packed kind.

If you're going to be comparing "anime culture" in the warframe community with a building, the only comparison would be the wiring or wood, or nails. Anime fans have been in the warframe community since the beginning. Hell, you could even say that [DE]Rebecca is an anime fan as she did a Kill la Kill themed Law of Ret. raid with FaitKO, Mogamu, Server, Saske92, and PokeyPandaBear, all of which are prominent figures within the community. Also, have you not seen any of the JJBA jokes within the community, that have been here for a while? (Hint: My flair is one of them) Removing all aspects of "anime culture" in the warframe community would leave it a crippled shell of it's former glory.
