                                                              It's not a desecrated or altered American flag. It's a completely independent flag that references the American flag. See the flags of Bikini Atoll, Liberia and Malaysia.

The rainbow one is ugly but it's not THE American flag so it shouldn't be seen as one. I think people should respect their fellow citizens more than just an icon.
