If you bought AAPL 1 year ago ($98), you would be up 11% today ($109), and you would have had plenty of opportunity to sell while it was up around $130.

If you bought Bitcoin 1 year ago ($479) you would be down 51% today ($229)

But clearly Bitcoin is the better choice because if you bought it for 50 cents in 2011 you'd still be up 45,000% today.
