0.93 Lost btc in transaction fee, BitFury? (self.Bitcoin)

Lesson learnt.

I accidentally mixed up the output and the transaction fee on blockchain.info custom send. Thanks for not setting a reasonable restriction on transaction fees blockchain.info!

Was on block #372300 and mined by BitFury, and I have contacted BitFury to no receive no response.

Now I know that some pools are sympathetic with such mistakes and have returned between 2BTC - 200BTC (GHash, ASICMiner, Bitmain). Now what about BitFury? Does anybody have any experience with the company and contacting them?

Maybe the manner in which to pool operates does not allow for such a refund, but I see https://blockchain.info/tx/55d1233fecb5f5e433f22690863ace3f96efefc71c4bbfba845e08fc8d109ee9 which contains my bitcoins, unspent :(

At this point, I've considered it gone. I would just appreciate if any clarity as to whether anybody has advice on how to proceed or to just give up due to the nature of BitFury.

You're in good hands. Bitfury have solid investors and management and they care about their reputation. I would first contact support@bitfury.com and then if that doesn't work fairly quickly, you should probably Tweet them. Also if you are in or near Amsterdam, SF or DC, you could visit their offices in person.

Question:

Why do people use the custom transaction builders when this is exactly the kind of stuff that happens? That's why real wallet software is tested and has limits/warnings when crap like this occurs.
