God damnit, Stacy.

See, the Joke my mom makes is about the time I found a playboy in a closet when I was somewhere around 5 years old and asked why there weren't any men in it.

UGHHHH I wish my mom was this cool with me being gay. Today she brought up an ex girlfriend from my failed attempt to be straight -.-

My mother: "Don't you remember (so-and-so)? She's cute! You liked her! You wanted to date her!"

Nice try, mom. I can have female friends and have no feelings towards females at the same time.

an ex girlfriend

Try having evangelist/retired Baptist missionary parents after you about your ex wife of 3 years. Who also kicked me out of my own grandmother's funeral because my bf (of 2 years, at the time) and I showed up, as friends. Not holding hands, not fondling each other, just two guys who happened to walk in together.

If that is the original rangers, tell her the gay one was blue ;)

And the one doing gay porn the red

That was debunked

I did see it some time ago. I can find it this evening if you want (I'm at work now, not the best place to look)

Might you be talking about this?

Edit: Yep, I think it's been debunked.

Wait...wat? Link?

On one hand I'm like "The preference of a particularly gendered toy does not hold any bearing over a person's sexuality" on the other hand I'm like, "I wish my mom would joke around with me like that...."

My mom told my dad that I was gay and she jokingly told him it was the Fisher Price Kitchen Set and easy bake oven I had as a kid. My dad didn't take it well, but 5 years later he is joking about it. I love my parents.

Shit, mom's lethal

[–]Im_relevantCaffeinated Brom Com 20

Does your grandma have it going on?

Sorry...I must

You must love living on the edge with that 7% battery.

Lol that's one of the first things I saw and all I could think was "Dear god man! There's no time!"

[–]cassius_longinusBromanophile 35ポイント36ポイント  (15子コメント)

You have your mom's phone number saved in your phone under her actual name? That's... weird.

When you sync with Facebook it often picks up the persons real name. Unless you bother (or know)to go into the contact details and add a nickname plus tell iOS to display nicknames over realnames you get the potential for what you see with OP.

[–]cassius_longinusBromanophile -3ポイント-2ポイント  (0子コメント)

I'm not judging you for being friends with your mom on Facebook--I kind of envy you--but sadly, my mother is not entitled to know everything I want to blab about to me friends. I love her to death, but she can't handle that responsibility and I don't want to censor myself. For the brief moment she and I were FB friends, it was a barrage of "why did you post that?" and "who is this person you're talking to?" and "how does this work?" I shut that down fast.

I have my mom under her actual name...

I thought the same...I never get people like this

Maybe they just grew up calling their parents by there names?

I never get people who call their parents mom and dad.

I am the opposite of yours. In my culture, we never call our parents with their first names unless prefixed by the parental terms of endearment like "Mommy Stacy". It is even considered disrespectful or taboo to call them by their first names.

[–]RocketJumpingOtterOH MAN I AM NOT GOOD WITH SEXUALITY PLZ TO HELP 3

I do too. I can't stand people who use fake names/emoji/aliases in contacts. My parents, grandparents, and sisters all have their real names in my phone.

Yeah. I've had trouble with this though because I don't know where to stop the formality... Like my sister is Alexa, and her real name is Alexandra, but no one calls her that.

[–]RocketJumpingOtterOH MAN I AM NOT GOOD WITH SEXUALITY PLZ TO HELP 0

My friend's name is Elijah, but I have Eli in the nickname field.

Yup, same. Every single person in my contacts is "Firstname Lastname", or the business name. Super formal but I like it that way.

It seems more normal than "mom" or "dad".

You parents are individual people.

More normal? I'm not sure about that. Referring to people by a title doesn't remove their individuality.

[–]Apple--Eater 0

It could also be a safety measure, if his phone gets stolen they won't know who to call to pretend the owner was kidnapped when in fact he just can't answer calls because he doesn't have the phone.

[–]cassius_longinusBromanophile 2ポイント3ポイント  (0子コメント)

I see having my mom and dad saved as "mom" and "dad" as a safety measure. If I happen to get hurt and knocked unconscious (or killed), then whoever finds my phone will immediately know whom to call when they see "mom" and "dad" in the very short list of favorite contacts

Of course, since my phone is password-protected... this is probably irrelevant.

Kimberly was logically the best cause she did gymnastics and her zord could fly. That was the reason I always gave when I chose to play as her.

Thank you! Also she had a bow and explosive arrows. Shit was better, who cares what color it was. On a related note I was mocked for always wanting to play the girl in Jurrasic Park. She did computers and stuff, the little boy was a stupid flashlight shining whiny bitch. Pretend time was rough in the 90s.

Kimberly was the shit. Aside from her being purely bitchin', I think I subconsciously wanted to be the Pink Ranger cuz then I'd get to date Tommy.

All I know is that is that the Green Power Ranger made little me feel things I would not understand until many years later.

You are very lucky to have a mother like that. Some people never change.

DAAYMMNN, mom burn! Take it in stride bro!

Here's to all the mom's that honestly thought they were doing the right thing for their sons.

My mom outed me out to the ENTIRE family because she thought it would be easier that way. Thank God for the other older gay brother.

I feel ya bro.

For what it's worth. I too think she's funny.

I can picture my mom texting me the exact same, haha. Awesome

Also: please charge your phone

Is that a pink power ranger?

Pink was always the best.

Omg you were such a cute kid! I want to give child-you candy and soda and get you some pokemon

7% battery life? You like to live dangerously don't you?

haha reminds me of my mom! i also have her saved in my phone as her first name as well, kinda how we roll. cheers to cool moms!

I liked the Green Ranger because he was an evil bastard. Still pretty gay.

Also still carried the white rangers sword around and made flute noises.
