Yeah actually. /r/coontown, for all it's racist idiocy, still followed the rules.

The mods, not just the users, blatantly disregard the rules on SRS.

Each time someone defends respecting the rules as being more important than denouncing racism, I can't help thinking of this relevant MLK quote:

This describes most /r/coontown apologists like you. Apathetic slugs who prefer a quiet injustice to the noise of progress and tolerance. The comfort of order is more important to them than people being denounced for spreading dangerous and hateful ideas. You being a KiA member is absolutely not a surprise.

It's not a binary choice. I had no problem with CoonTown because nothing I say or do would make them not racist, so if they kept to their own little corner to be racist amongst themselves, where's the harm? You'd have to be actively looking for racism to be offended by in order to find it, at which point you have nobody but yourself to blame.

SRS is a cancer. It consumes the resources of its host and uses them to attack it, and as you've just demonstrated it doesn't care about the rules of reddit or anything else. Your personal crusade is not everybody else's problem and you're not MLK. MLK actually got off his arse and did something for his cause instead of sitting around and fellating himself for his ideas. You're not the voice of progress, you're a deeply unpleasant human being who can't cope with the idea that other people have different opinions and want to force yours down everybody's throats.

The lives of ordinary redditors like me and the world in general would be better if you didn't exist. You're not a hero, you're not fighting the good fight. You're being a cunt to everyone because you disagree with some of them. I sincerely hope that one day you look back and realize what an insufferable shit you were and how much you damaged your own cause just by associating with it, but as you seem to have the self-awareness of a mollusc I'm not putting any bets on it.

It was clearly proven that Coontown did harass and brigade. Do a search with the keyword Coontown in /r/blackladies for example.

I've been using the Mass Tagger for a while and they were pushing their agenda in r/TIL, r/videos, r/europe, r/politics, etc.

So the whole argument about containment isn't valid. They were NOT contained.

Your personal crusade is not everybody else's problem and you're not MLK.

Using a quote by MLK doesn't mean that I suddenly have the arrogance to think I'm MLK. A quote is meant to illustrate a point. This accusation is beyond ridiculous and using it is a pathetic attempt to undermine my point.

People on this website are compared to animals because of their skin color. Women on this website are called manipulative gold-diggers because they have a vagina. People are called mentally-ill because they are trans-gendered. And no, these heavily upvoted ideas aren't in "niche" subreddits, they are in the defaults ones.

I'm sorry that minorities being angry about it bothers your "negative peace". I'm sorry that the quiet comfort of the statu-quo is being broken by people like me. Poor little /u/nolo_me , it was so much better when the harassment could happen and you didn't hear about it. Really, poor you.

It must be nice to live a life so free of marginalization that people criticizing racism and sexism on a private website constitutes oppression for you
