Guys is unfairly representing the rule change really what's best? It's a trial, we have to see how it goes then alter it as necessary. We need to all be completely on the same page on how the rule is implemented at each of its iterations.

So why do you say that no high quality pictures are allowed? All pictures are still allowed. It's literally the complete opposite to what you said.

Both the evolution of X post and IncredibleThings's image dump posts have been improved due to this rule and are clearly still allowed.

I have been noticing there have been image threads with good images removed. People tried to post that one of Ricciardo gesturing with Italian hands a few times and it kept getting taken down. I don't understand why when it was genuinely funny. What we want to stop are the "Here is Kimi standing somewhere" "Look I'm in the grandstand" images, not the actual good content. I mean even when they used a self post the images still kept disappearing.

That wasn't a good image thread. That was so low quality it was ridiculous, it had nothing to do with this rule.

What we want to stop are the "Here is Kimi standing somewhere" "Look I'm in the grandstand" images, not the actual good content.

We're hopefully stopping that on Monday with our updated posting guidelines.

Shouldn't the upvotes/downvotes decide that? I thought that was a great gif and showed off interesting driver personality. Drivers are the main reason most of us watch the sport afterall.

Do you honestly think that by banning content that "you" deem low quality will miraculously make the content posted here better? That's stupid. It will just limit the amount of content posted. By sitting back and doing your job as a mod instead of making heavy handed posting guidelines in an effort to prove to yourself that you're a good mod...the good content rises to the top and the shit sinks to the bottom naturally. This is all about your egos as mods and you thinking you know better then the community you mearly moderate..not lead.

You're not Obama, you're at best the attorney general. It's not your job to lead a sub towards your vision of what it should be, you mearly police it and punish rulebreakers.

The problem is that the mods don't understand what website they're running. This isn't a hardcore F1 forum. This is a community forum focused on F1 on reddit. You guys are so out of touch, it's wild.

Yes and that's the point. We have let it go from a great F1 forum to a a mediocre one at best. So yes, we are somewhat out of touch with how it currently is and we expect since most of the users that are here enjoy the shitness that a lot of users are going to be upset with the attempts to remove some of it.
