Yeah, no shit /r/trashy is full of people making fun of poor and ugly people. It's not what the sub is supposed to be about, but the amount of people who want to laugh at other people is a lot larger than the amount of people who enjoy trash culture. We have accepted this and now just remove the shit that's a blatant attack on what the subject looks like, which in this case was the majority of the thread.

I'm sorry that you're the one who seems to have selective attention to the removal of FPH-type comments, given that posts that have nothing to do with weight are regularly removed every day when they are reported. It has nothing to do with 'what I deem offensive'; we get reports about rule-breaking posts, and we remove those posts. If you only see weight-related comments removed on /r/trashy, then that's an issue with what you pay attention to, not what the mods remove. And, given the history of FPH's recruitment drive in /r/trashy, I'd see nothing wrong with us being extra harsh on that shit anyway.

You mean in replying with a one-liner to a comment suggesting that the mods are fat? That took about as much effort as your original post. Well, prolly a bit more given that the go-to complain-message after a /r/trashy ban is something along the lines of 'fuck u ur all fat and ugly'. Pretty low-level stuff.

...uh, when did I ever say that it's okay to be fat? It would have taken you like 2 seconds to see that I mod /r/fatlogic. Obesity is an awful disease. Doesn't make comments making fun of people's weight any more welcome or useful on /r/trashy than comments making fun of people's income level or facial features.

I'd like to see some evidence for that, please. Please provide evidence that we systematically remove posts that feature fat people while leaving up pictures of thin people. Please provide evidence that we don't delete any comments making fun of the subject's appearance unless the comment is in regard to their weight. I am happy to admit that you are right and I am wrong if you can do this.
