Saudi Super Cup

Loftus Road hosts Saudi football season opener.

Sela Sport, Saudi Arabia’s leading sports consultancy, event management and sponsorship agency, commissioned the Works to brand the 2015 Saudi Super Cup. The game is the equivalent of the Community Shield and kicks off the Saudi football season, and was played in the UK for the first time.

Al-Hilal beat Al-Nassr 1-0 to lift the trophy at QPR’s stadium, Loftus Road in London.

The Works designed the logo and associated branding for the game, delivering graphics for pre-match marketing activities, game day stadium dressing and artwork for the associated social media activation.


Rio calling…

Works establishes a new partnership in Brazil.

The Works continues to strengthen its presence in South America with a new strategic partnership with Effect Sport.

Based in Rio de Janeiro Effect Sport is a sports marketing agency with in-depth knowledge of the Brazilian sports market. Formed by ex professional swimmer Pedro Rego Monteiro the company has an impressive track record with expertise in marketing consulting, sponsorship, hospitality, grassroots marketing and integrated communication. Effect Sports client roster includes the likes of Nike, Brahma, Gatorade, FIBA and the NBA.

The Works continues to operate from its São Paulo office, which opened in 2012.

Works rebrand World Squash

Dynamic new logo combines men’s and women’s game

The Professional Squash Association have unveiled their new World Tour branding. Our brief was to create a contemporary new look that reflects that the men’s and women’s game have been combined.

“Having recorded growth of 20% so far in 2015 professional squash is already blossoming in the wake of joint-governance and we feel that our new look and feel will be the perfect symbol for us as we embark upon an exciting new era.”

They’ve done it again!

The England ‘Lionesses’ have proved once again that they are world class contenders by knocking out the host nation in the FIFA Women’s World Cup quarter final.

Now they face the current World Cup champions Japan on Wednesday in what will be a nail biting contest!

FIVB Beach Volleyball

The Works has delivered the full tournament branding for the 2015 Beach Volleyball World Championships.

As the FIVB Beach Volleyball World Championships 2015 begins in the Netherlands today, we are excited to see our tournament brand designs going live around the country and being broadcast around the world.

WBSC 2015 U-18 World Cup

The WBSC have unveiled our latest design work for their 2015 U-18 BASEBALL WORLD CUP. 

The emblem features the sport’s iconic ball & glove combined with a trophy motif to create an aspirational looking design.

The U-18’s competition will be held in Japan, where the sport has a huge following, and starts in late August.

The ‘Lionesses’ make it through to the quarter finals to face host nation Canada.

England have made it through to the quarter finals of the FIFA Women’s World Cup for the first time in their history. We’re proud of you ‘Lionesses’!
The Works wish the team lots of luck for the game on Saturday.


WBSC World Softball Day

The 13th June is World Softball Day.

The sport’s governing body, the WBSC, encourages all its national federations and individuals of all ages, abilities and backgrounds to participate in softball activity to help promote heath, physical activity, social integration and international spirit. Fans and participants can also share their World Softball Day experiences via Facebook and Twitter using the official hashtag #WorldSoftballDay and tagging @WBSC.

This year sees the official launch of a logo and official look for the annual event, which we designed as part of our ongoing brand partnership work with the WBSC.

England’s Women Senior side kick start their World Cup campaign with a tough fixture against France who are ranked third at the Moncton Stadium on the 9th of June.

FIFA Women’s World Cup Canada 2015

The Women’s World Cup kicks off this Saturday at the Commonwealth Stadium in Edmonton, Canada.

The opening game sees the host take on China. The competition runs through June with the Final taking place on June 5th.

FIFA U-20 World Cup New Zealand 2015

Over 71,000 Kiwi football fans attended the first round of games in the opening weekend of the U-20 World Cup.
There were also a record number of 59 goals scored across the opening matches.

The Works designed the Official Emblem, the Official Look along with the Mascot Wooliam for the tournament. The distinctive graphic style is heavily influenced by traditional Maori patterns and markings, combined with abstract footballing motifs.

FIVB 2015 Broadcast toolkits

With FIVB World League now well underway, we are proud to announce that the Works will be delivering full broadcast design packages for all of FIVB’s Men’s & Women’s competitions for 2015; The flagship tournament being the Beach World Championships The Netherlands 2015 in June.

These comprehensive toolkits include title sequences, bumpers, replay wipes and a full suite of animated match graphics for each tournament. Echoing and building on the complete suite of FIVB tournament branding created by the Works; the title sequences bring the graphical hero players to life and show them in action within a virtual arena.
