They did it to me. I was sympathetic to their cause, but after the Bernie Sanders incident they lost me.

Also, I don't think that Michael Brown is the best poster boy for their cause. They should have Walter Scott (and the video of his murder) as the central evidence for their cause. Also Tamir Rice, it's not hard to find a better cause than Michael Brown.

Re: Tamir Rice... I was a kid back in the 80s, when Laser Tag[1] was a fad. The guns were all black and roughly the size of a large handgun. (Yeah, it was the 80s.) I remember hearing about a kid who pointed one at a cop, at night, and was shot & killed. The resounding public sentiment wasn't anti-cop, it was "Wow, that kid was dumb. What was he expecting?"
