There's /r/conspiratard and r/topminds. Both of these subs seem to exist only for the purpose of trying to discredit this sub in particular and conspiracy theory in general.

I don't know about the shill thing. Anything is possible. Another explanation is that many of these people are closet conspiracy theorists themselves. They are fascinated by this sub and most of them seem to be very well informed about most popular conspiracy theories.

The main difference might be that they're too shy too admit this. So, while they're knee deep in conspiracy theory themselves, they maintain social acceptability by mocking us.

Um, it is ok to mention that BOTH of those subs "just happen" to be Israeli-firsters and their major complaint is that "conspiracy" people "just happen" to criticize the Israeli government and Zionism?

I mean, /r/isrconspiracyracist "just happens" to have a bunch of posters that "just happen" to defend Israel and MOST of their threads are about how poor Israel is criticized by the "evil nazi hitlers" on /r/conspiracy?

It's obvious both of those subs are nothing but hasbara, Israeli propaganda.

I think they are 15-year-olds on both subs.

There are two sides to every coin. There's some childish rubbish goes on in both subs. But it's true than the wilder conspiracy theories are laughter fodder on /r/conspiritard and elsewhere. The accusation of 'Shill' is made so often here that it's lost its meaning. I've no doubt that some issues, such as Israeli homeland security, are heavily monitored and manipulated by organised groups of real shills. But apart from that, I doubt if there are many people making a living out of being here.

Some of us are ex-conspiracy theorists. I used to believe in 9/11 "truth" (nanothermite and then, when it became clear that that didn't make sense, underground nukes). I'm not Jewish and I'm not in the army. See /r/extruther for details.

Why are you lying? Thermitic material was found in WTC dust.

That's not any sort of "conspiracy" - that's basic chemistry.

No "conspiracy" needed.

Who do you think you're fooling?

The Kremlin used its assets to have some garbage paper claiming Thermitic material was found in WTC dust published in a shitty journal to be used as anti-US disinfo fodder by its network of propaganda websites (infowars, whatsupic, dockersunion, globalresearch, zerohedge, etc.)

FTFY

Good question. Follow the post title link then come back to my sub for a lulz.

I would love to hear one of the mods share their /r/conspiratard theories.

edit: /r/topmindsofreddit has a lot of us military, conspitard seems Israeli/jewish.

Nice sub. Now, need a script to autoban the people that are mentioned there.

I disabled totesmessenger to try and limit them from noticing the attention.

I think it's best to understand how manipulation works on the internet. You guys should study how infiltration happens and what tactics are used.

Shills don't have to have a whole army of actual shills. They manipulate a user base usually by using a primary account to push a subject along with a few secondary accounts in order to show false consensus.

Any group of people can infiltrate and manipulate another group of people as long as they obfuscate their presence.

Look at what happened to the Tea Party. They had no clue they lost their new political platform until they had already sold out to the GOP.

My point here is that there's probably only a few actual shills in either of those subs. The rest of the people are just mindless followers thinking they are doing something everyone else is.

Most of the "anti-conspiracy" subreddits are Israelis and Jewish supremacists.

Make of that what you will.
