Ironic.

[–]Rodot [

No, it's actually exactly what I expected. A lot of conspiracy theorists are surprisingly gullible.

Pretty straight forward. A lot of sites are just BS'ing people for the sake of getting views to get ad rev. Obvious to most, but a lot of people get tricked by this type of thing. It's unfortunate because this type of thing outshines the real conspiracies.

Dahboo7 and Alex Jones thrive on this among others. Anything to get ad revenue and sell products. They are no better than the MSM, maybe worse.

I haven't seen a Daboo7 link on here for awhile. I guess people are starting to figure him out...

There's a commercial break like every three minutes on the Alex Jones show. It's pathetic.

People act like the truth doesn't sell though..

There is only so much truth to go around. The rest is all a farce designed to sell water purifiers and bug out bags.

I would say conspiracy culture is the new religion.

Well, that's like cnn slowly turning into buzfeed to get more clicks. It's happenning all over. What are some legit conspiracy sites?

Globalresearch.ca

You forgot the /s

why because they posted something one time you didn't believe out of thousands of articles with hundreds of thousands of citations?

Because they specialize in nonsense, be it vaccine denial, holocaust denial or chemtrails.

Its naturalnews with a wider scope.

[–]Potss 1

Boy are you in the wrong sub (and extremely wrong).

Oh, is there a required belief system to participate here? I thought it was a place to discuss conspiracy theories.

[–]Potss [

No, but there is a clear desire to not have the same old disproved BS talking points from the mainstream reactionary wing spewed around.

I understand that different opinions make you uncomfortable, but I'm not going anywhere. I am here to express my opinion in a forum. The fact that you don't want to hear it isn't my problem.

Now, if you want to discuss my "disproved bullshit" from the "mainstream wing" I apparently inhabit, I'm all ears.

chemtrails/geo-engineering is a reality - you must have watched Joe Rogan's tv show hit piece on the subject and just agreed with Joe as he smiled and pandered to a science blogger

I have not once seen a single thing Joe Rogan has done. Perhaps an episode of fear factor, but I don't think they talked about Chemtrails on that. From what I remember, they mostly climbed across shit and ate various bugs and animal testicles.

I do, however, know basic meteorology. As such, I am aware that the topic being discussed was stratospheric spraying. This is mentioned in the interview. As the name indicates, this method takes place in the stratosphere.

Meanwhile, contrails, as observed every day by millions of people, by definition, take place in the troposphere. This is where all clouds form because it contains conditions that allow for cloud formation. The stratosphere does not. In fact, it is extremely dry. Because of this, stratospheric spraying will absolutely not look like this. There simply is not enough moisture in the atmosphere at those levels to support long lasting, cloud like structures clearly composed (at least to some degree) of water vapour. Nevermind the fact that you can often see other cirrus type clouds at around the same height as contrails or the fact that height ranges for clouds and contrails top out at somewhere around 35000-40000 feet while the individual in the video states 20km, or 65000 feet.

Stratospheric spraying is different than contrails.

A dicerning mind is the best one i know of.

Got a link/address? Can't seem to convince google that i'm supposed to visit this site. When I search, half the links seem to related to Christianity and the other half are completely unrelated links to sites owned by google. Then again, that seems to be the case with every interesting google search I do these days.

Im thinking whoosh!

I was using a play on words. Meaning, sometimes, no links, varying and conflicting information, trying to waddle through everyones agenda, sometimes the onlything you can trust is your judgement.

Then I can report that such a site is missing. And you might have come up with a rather cool name for it.

Lol, ill get my marketing team right on it.

[–]Veritas__Aequitas [スコア非表示]  (0子コメント)

I find it is best to get conspiracy news from multiple sources, preferably through a site which aggregates stories from many other sources, so as to limit the number of sites visited. This sub is alright for that, but not all types of topics are posted here. I will give a plug to theunhivedmind.com which is run by an online acquaintance of mine. For more mainstream news, I have RT.com set as my homepage, although I acknowledge that it has a pro-Russian political bias to many topics.

The above two sites + Reddit is what I use for ~95% of my news information.

It's sad when you think about it, but in many cases they will even pay people to "create" theories in an effort to draw ad revenue to the site. Generally speaking, it's theories that you can easily poke holes in, but they use click bait type titles; or tie them into an existing established theory. One good example is the mostly defunct (there are some die hards that believe it) Fema "death trains" theory. The whole thing started as a click bait type article on one site that claimed to have quote "actual untouched photos" of the inside of these supposed prison cars. Though if you looked closely it was quite apparent someone had changed the image from color to black and white, and then crudely photo shopped in shackles and chains. The photoshop job was so crude, the person doing it had forgotten to even put shadows or scale the chains to the size of the car itself. (The chain looks vaguely like ship anchor chain.) The theory itself was quickly picked up by a number of other sites, who added to it considerably, before people really started asking questions. Such as "Wait, if this is a prison car...why is there a model of it available for purchase....and why do we keep seeing these things carrying automobiles?" Eventually, most of the major sites actually traced it back to its origin, and found that the whole thing had stemmed from a...let's say "less than reputable" site. One that was, at the time, known for having some of the most sensational articles; but no actual evidence or fact to back the articles up. (The site has long since gone down, but it was really out there. Theories such as government plans to implant microchips inside of pennies to track people with, and one that suggested that in a bid to take over the population, the government had created the idea of energy drinks, and some of the ingredients in them were actually mind control chemicals...)

People are also paid to create real world events to draw revenue to their weapons manufacturing, surveillance, and various other industries.

Fairly said, but the fact is that both these ideas aren't exclusive. They can both be true.

Conspiracy Inc. I've referred to this many times. Alex Jones is one of the worst offenders.

I couldn't agree more. Unfortunately a lot of the BS articles find their way onto this sub. These BS conspiracy sites have to keep making sky is falling headlines to keep up ad revenue. Which directly promulgates the paranoia I see from some people. And feeds criticism from mockery subs that watch r/conspiracy.

I hate to break it to you, but the entire fucking economy is based on scamming idiots. Just watch Bloomberg for 10 minutes.

can't you say this about anything?

most fashion websites...

most celebrity websites...

most car websites...

reddit ...

GLP comes to mind, that site also likes to ban people in the spring time to have them pay to visit the site lol

I wont mind a few ads , but if your page is flooded with ads that is the problem.

Vigilant citizen is still legit thank god.

This is absolutely true

[–]bonked_or_maybe_not 2ポイント3ポイント  (0子コメント)

Why do you think it is that EVERY national story gets touted as a false flag operation?

Think about it - have you seen a single mass shooting since ~1999 that wasn't popularly supported as being a false flag on forums such as this?

Same with big news outlets.

We can think for our selves. Trust nothing.

Blanket statements that all conspiracy websites are just gaming people is just totally false...

I’m not saying all of them, but most of them.

This is in the article.
