OKC vs the mall (self.OkCupid)

When I go to the local mall I'm always amazed by all the stunning beauties I see. Yet on OKC, it's mostly uggos and fatties.

This won't be a popular thing to say, but the fact is that girls on okc are just less attractive on average than girls who don't use dating sites. Think about it logically: An attractive girl can just walk around and get tons of guys hitting on her. She also probably has a huge social circle (attractive people usually have bigger social circles than unattractive people because it's much easier for them to make friends) so she can easily find a boyfriend that way. She has no need to join a dating site.

If you're an attractive successful guy who wants to find an attractive girlfriend, your odds of finding her on okc are slim. If you don't care too much about how attractive she is (a minority of guys genuinely don't) then okc is fine.

I was hanging out with a friend last night, and this guy is very attractive. He's tall, really well-built, successful, and has the kind of style that people in our area like.

He has women hitting on him all the time--they don't explicitly ask him out, but they initiate conversations and flirt with him. It doesn't happen as often when I'm next to him because they assume I'm his girlfriend, but whenever I go to the bathroom or am away for some time, the women appear out of nowhere.

So, it does happen. Women are just more coy about it.

Only because someone has tons of options doesn't mean they have it easier finding someone they truly connect with. A romantic connection is fairly rare, and most people tend to be very picky with whom they choose to partner up with.
